Sky-gazers are set to witness the most marvellous celestial event of the year as the Earth will receive a Perseid meteor shower, filling the sky with its twinkling light.

The splendid show will begin on July 14 and continue till September 1, 2024. It will reach its peak on the night of Sunday, August 11 and will last till Monday, August 12.

The best time for the performance of the shooting stars will be around 04:00 UTC on August 12, according to the American Meteor Society.
