Under Indian PM Modi's leadership, cabinet ministers take oath at Rashtrapati Bhavan
PM Modi's Cabinet Members
A fresh cabinet wassworn in on Sunday (June 9) following the 2024 Lok Sabha elections where the NDA alliance seized victory and returned to power for another term.
Among the prominent figures who tookoath of office were Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, JP Nadda, Nitin Gadkari, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, and Nirmala Sitharaman, all assuming roles as Union Ministers.
Prime Minister Modi himself was sworn in earlierreaffirminghis position at the helm of the nation for the third straight term.

The newly-formed 72 Council of Ministers, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, will comprise 30 Cabinet Ministers, 5 Ministers of State (Independent Charge) and 36 Ministers of State. Representatives hailed from 24 states and reflected India's various social groups.

Notably, the cabinet will boast a record number of senior ministers, with 27 from Other Backward Classes (OBC), 10 from Scheduled Castes (SC), 5 from Scheduled Tribes (ST), and 5 from minority communities, as per reports.

There has been an inclusion of 11 ministers from the NDA ally parties.Many members bring extensive central and state-level experience.
There are 43 who served three terms or more in Parliament and 39 held ministerial positions in previous Indian governments. The cabinet also included former Chief Ministers, legislators, and state ministers. Leaders who took oath included 34 who served in state legislatures and 23 worked as ministers in state governments.
