He added that "the number of murders witnessed in Patna in a single day is equal to deaths in Kashmir in a week".

2018 was one of the bloodiest years in Kashmir in recent times, with terrorist, civilian, and security force casualties all going up. That was a result of the security forces' iron hand approach to militant attacks.
Malik also added that "stone pelting and recruitment to terrorist groups has stopped".
