Congress president launched a scathing attack on Union Minister of Law and Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad on Sunday for not paying enough attention to appoint judges but preoccupied peddling fake news.

Taking to his Twitter handle on Saturday, he tweeted ''Legal system collapsing under Pending Cases: Supreme Court 55,000 + High Court 37 Lakh + Lower Courts 2.6 Crore + Yet, a staggering 400 High Court and 6,000 Lower Court judges not appointed, while Law Minister preoccupied peddling fake news,'' he tweeted with the #JudiciaryDemonetised.
Prasad recently targeted the Congress Party and accused it of having ties with data analytics firm Cambridge Analytica.

He said that the Congress was planning to use the firm's services for the next Lok Sabha elections and to boost its president Rahul Gandhi's profile. He also asked Gandhi to explain the company's role in his social media outreach.

Cambridge Analytica has been accused of harvesting private information from more than 50 million Facebook users in developing techniques to support President Donald Trump's 2016 election campaign, the New York Times and London's Observer reported on Saturday (March 18).
The reports have mentioned that the firm has worked for Indian clients as well.
