Kolkata rape-murder case: India's central investigative agency, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), has collected the teeth impression of Sanjay Roy, the primary suspect in the rape and murder of a trainee doctor in India's West Bengal, suggest Indian media reports.
Roy, a civic volunteer, was arrested last month for the heinous crime reported from Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in August.
Why were Roy's teeth impressions collected?
As per central agency officials, the teeth impression of the accused is often considered vital evidence in rape and/or murder cases.

CBI questions TMC MLA
The CBI, on Thursday (Sep 12) started questioning Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Dr Sudipto Roy at his residence in Sithi in north Kolkata.
As per the PTI, the TMC MLA was present at the hospital when the news of the doctor's death spread.
"He was present at the hospital soon after the news of the doctor's death spread. We are questioning him about what he knows about the case," the CBI told the news agency.
Dr Sudipto Roy, a four-time party legislator, is also the chairperson of the 'Rogi Kalyan Samity' (patient welfare committee).
The CBI also conducted raid and search operations at his office.

Parallelly, three Enforcement Directorate (ED) officers were conducting raid and search operations at three locations in the city and its outskirts.
This included the ancestral residence of Sandip Ghosh, the controversial former principal of R G Kar Medical College. Additionally, the residence of Chandan Louha, a non-teaching staff of R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital at Tala in North Kolkata, was also being searched. Reportedly, Louha is an extremely close confidant of Ghosh and was even running an illegal cafeteria within the RG Kar hospital premises due to the ex-principal's patronage.
Finally, a chemist & druggist shop at Kalindi, north Kolkata, were raided after ED officials tracked several documents relating to business transactions with RG Kar authorities while Ghosh was at the helm of the hospital's affairs.
