The family members of the woman who was operated upon in torchlight at Sadar Hospital in Saharsa, Bihar are mourning her death.

She passed away last night. Relatives of the victim held the administration and their negligence responsible for her death.

''We hold the administration and their negligence responsible for her death,'' they said.

The woman who died was operated upon in torchlight. The doctors at the hospital used a torch as there was no electricity in the hospital at the time of surgery.

There was no facility of the generator at the hospital and therefore the doctors had no other option.

The video showed a woman on a stretcher in an unconscious state. Many people were seen surrounding and operating her.

The people who were operating her were not dressed in the usual white apron.

Bihar Health Minister then speaking to media denied any operation being conducted under torchlight and said that the patient was injured and given stitches in the dressing room.
