COVID-19: Maharashtra Police reports more cases; death toll in Uttar Pradesh rises to 257

Uttar Pradesh on Friday reported 502 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours with the total death toll rising to 257

Maharashtra Police said four police personnel tested positive for coronavirus taking the total number of cases in the forces to 2,561.

The death toll in Maharashtra Police due to COVID-19 has risen to 31.

Uttar Pradesh on Friday reported 502 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours with the total death toll rising to 257.

The total active cases in the state has risen to 3828 with over 5,600 people having been cured of the virus.

In Uttarakhand, 46 cases were reported taking the total number of cases to 1,199. The number of active cases in the state has risen to 874. Eleven people have died due to the virus in the state.

The Bihar state health department reported 99 more coronavirus cases taking the total number of cases to 4,551.

The Andhra Pradesh state health department reported 50 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the total number of cases to 3,427.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan reported 68 new coronavirus cases taking the total number of cases in the state to 9,930. The death toll in the state now stands at 213.
