Eight coaches of theKaifiyat Express derailed in Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh early on Wednesday morning, injuring at least 74 people.
Four of the injured are reported to be critical.
One of the derailed coaches overturned.
The Delhi-bound train from Azamgarh collided with a dumper at 2.50 am betweenPata and Achalda railway stations, a spokesperson for the North Central Railway told the media.
