Following the incident, Dosanjh addressed the controversy on Instagram Stories, saying, "Standing outside and protesting, anyone can do that. But if you try to come inside and harass my fans, that will not be tolerated. If someone brings a banner or a flag, it usually means they want to show where they’ve come from and that they support me. But if you’re standing outside with the same banner abusing my fans, and then try to come inside and do the same thing, that will not be tolerated."

He further added, "This is not about any banner or flag — the real issue is your intention behind it. I told security that anyone trying to disrupt the program should be picked up and thrown out. I never said anything against any banner, so don’t spread fake narratives. I’ve been avoiding this issue since last year, but not anymore). Thank you. Love & peace."

"MaaIntiBangaaram. The plot had all the potential to become a blockbuster, but unfortunately the writing never rises to that level. The elevations, motivations and reasons behind major moments feel weak. So many scenes that should have earned whistles and cheers end up falling flat because of the lack of proper buildup.
Ranveer Singh is currently making headlines after reports emerged that he earned around Rs 325 crore from the Dhurandhar franchise. The staggering figure, if true, places him alongside some of the biggest stars in Indian cinema, which include Shah Rukh Khan and Rajinikanth.

How did Ranveer Singh earn so much?

As per reports, instead of taking an acting fee, the actor negotiated a profit-sharing agreement that tied his earnings to the overall performance of the films, and as the two-part film did so well at the box office, the arrangement enabled him to receive a share of theatrical revenues as well as income generated from digital streaming rights, satellite deals, and music rights.

Also Read: 'It's not a ban': FWICE chief advisor on Ranveer Singh amid Don 3 row

Reports further claim that Ranveer also invested additional funds into the production when costs increased during filming.

According to Hindustan Times, trade estimates suggest that after adding theatrical shares, performance bonuses, and revenues from non-theatrical rights, Ranveer's total earnings from the film reached approximately Rs 325 crore.

If accurate, the figure would be one of the largest payouts ever received by an Indian actor for a single production.

Also Read: Don 3 controversy timeline: Ranveer Singh’s exit, Rs 40 crore demand and FWICE action - What went wrong ?

Ranveer surpasses Rajnikanth, SRK

Ranveer's earnings have also been compared to those of some of the industry's biggest names.
                               Spoilers ahead

The first episode of House of the Dragon season 3 is out, and it picks up where season 2 left off, in the tussle between the Greens, Team Alicent, and the Blacks, Team Rhaenyra. The conflict has only grown more brutal, and now the war has begun. If you recall episode 3 of season 2, when Alicent and Rhaenyra meet in secret, it showed two women who understood the war's aftermath and were trying to handle it with reason. After that, as everyone knows, everything collapsed, and war and bloodshed are the reality. This episode also comes with those emotions, where war is not the need, but it is something that will eventually happen.

The new season opens with war, new characters, and a battle that claims a few lives, not surprising, given the Game of Thrones world, where anything can happen at any time.

Episode 1, titled Salt and Sea, Fire and Blood, delivered plenty of thrills, bloodshed, bodies, and characters. But the debut felt like it lacked the grip to fully hold attention, but like always, the show is a spectacle that makes you return to it. Here’s hoping things become more electric and character-focused in the coming weeks.

What happens in the first episode of House of the Dragon?

Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) and Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke)

In the grey, gruelling world of Westeros, the fight is for the Iron Throne. While strategy is debated both in the palace and on the battlefield, Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) remains the lone woman with power in a room full of men, including her own son, who refuse to believe her when it comes to trusting Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke). Once her best friend, Alicent, arrived at King’s Landing last season with an offer for peace. But in that room of men and one woman, they convinced Rhaenyra that Alicent can't be trusted. While episode 1 establishes who is doing what and where things are heading, the Battle of the Gullet takes centre stage. There’s plenty of dragon dancing, with one dragon killed. Rhaenyra has more dragons, and her side is bolstered by new bastard dragonriders: Ulf (Tom Bennett), Addam (Clinton Liberty), and Hugh (Kieran Bew). But she has lost something very precious to her.

Meanwhile, Alicent’s elder son, Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney), is half-burnt and bedridden. Yet he leaves the palace with Lord Larys. Her second son, Aemond (Ewan Mitchell), listens to no one and is intent only on defeating the Blacks. Lord Corlys Velaryon (Steve Toussaint), the Sea Snake, is aboard his ship, this time with his bastard son, to whom he’s confessing his past. But the war begins, dragons interfere, and things still end in tragedy.

Still from episode one

House of the Dragon: How is it?

Led by the cast we are all familiar with, the stakes in episode 1 aren’t urgent but slow and balanced between war and political talks. Running an hour long, the new season starts with the right balance between its emotional weight and a war that has grown bigger than Alicent and Rhaenyra. It feels like the show is finally embracing the reality of war after two seasons of clever politics and betrayal. At the same time, several moments feel distant, lacking the connection or rhythm that made us stick to this franchise. But it’s unfair to judge too much; it’s only episode 1, and more can unfold. The episode also keeps things at a distance, observing characters from afar without digging deep. So have to wait.

Still of Daemon (Matt Smith)

The episode's one great part was at the climax, which has surely built excitement for the second episode. Watching the battle unfolding in the sea, dragons flying in the sky, and the eagerness to see who is going to be killed this time remains intact. However, what I have not been a big fan of in the GOT franchise was the number of characters, while House of Dragon is far more limited in the number of characters in GOT, but still, in this episode 1, dozens of characters are all here, so it needs attention.

Queen Rhaenyra, the best scene

The most impactful scene in episode 1 was surely not the kiss (ifkyk), but the one where Rhaenyra is locked in a room by her own son, Prince Jacaerys, as she prepares to head to war. On his command, her guard refuses to open the door. The scene features Rhaenyra responding after she’s told he only wishes to protect her,“I never asked to be protected.”

Snobbing and angry at the same time, she says, “I may appear to have the weak and feeble body of a woman, but I possess the heart and spirit of a king.”

This is how a woman, who is the queen, the dragon-rider, is challenged not only by other men, but by her own son, at her own home, who believes he will be the one to bring her victory.

Daemon (Matt Smith) had nothing much to play in episode one, but he surely has a much bigger role to play in upcoming episodes and in the fight for the throne.

Final verdict

This is only the beginning, so it’s too early to judge. The urgency isn’t high yet, but the shocking deaths and the dragons are there. So we will have to get through this one to get into the later episodes, which will surely deliver that House of the Dragon feel, giving us more of Daemon, Alicent, and Rhaenyra.

Psychological horror film Obsession released in cinemas in India on May 29. Helmed by YouTuber-turned-filmmaker Curry Barker, the film explores the story of two individuals caught in a dangerous cycle of romance and entitlement, gradually losing themselves in the process. But how far can one go to achieve something, regardless of consequences — even at the cost of one's own mental sanity? At the same time, Obsession makes it so uncomfortable to watch and yet so difficult to ignore.

How Does Obsession Begin? ; Why It Was Never Innocent

The story follows Bear, who works at a music store alongside his friends Ian and Sarah. He confides in a friend said that he likes Nikki, one of his colleagues at the same store. There is, however, one problem, he does not have the courage to confess his feelings to her. To surprise Nikki, Bear shops for a gift at a crystal shop and buys her a One Wish Willow, a novelty toy that claims to grant one wish per person when broken.

Also Read: Obsession box office: American film opens strong on day 1, outgrosses several Indian releases

When Nikki senses Bear's feelings and asks him directly if he likes her, he quickly says no. In frustration, he breaks the One Wish Willow. He barely has time to process what he has done before Nikki appears at his door, asking to spend more time with him — to stay at his house. From that moment, unusual and disturbing circumstances begin piling up, leading to the elimination of people around them one by one, all because of one thing: Obsession.

The Main Problem: Bear Never Thought He Did Anything Wrong

The central issue is that Bear never believes he did anything wrong — even as the consequences of his wish spiral completely out of control. In Bear's mind, Nikki's obsession with him after the wish was a harmless longing, the quiet desperation of a nice guy who simply wanted to be chosen.

Also Read: Obsession director Curry Barker lands major deal for third film with Universal and Blumhouse

But one question persists throughout — if Bear was wrong, was Nikki not equally problematic in her entitled behaviour? Without Bear's consent, she snips his hair while he sleeps. She refuses to let him leave. How Does Obsession Begin? ; Why It Was Never Innocent The story follows Bear, who works at a music store alongside his friends Ian and Sarah. The Main Problem: Bear Never Thought He Did Anything Wrong The central issue is that Bear never believes he did anything wrong — even as the consequences of his wish spiral completely out of control. In Bear's mind, Nikki's obsession with him after the wish was a harmless longing, the quiet desperation of a nice guy who simply wanted to be chosen. Without Bear's consent, she snips his hair while he sleeps. She refuses to let him leave. She manipulates situations to make him do exactly what she wants. Does consent disappear when one is obsessed? Obsession revolves around consent, entitlement and codependency. The central themes of Obsession revolve around consent, entitlement and codependency.
Many viewers are surprised by the return of India's Got Latent. The second season has been released on both YouTube and Netflix, marking a major comeback for the show that was once India's biggest digital entertainment controversy. But did the Season 1 backlash actually damage or help Samay Raina? Let's find out.

The rise of India's Got Latent and backlash

India's Got Latent was launched in 2024, and unlike the regular shows, it was filled with stand-up comedy, roasting, and unconventional acts. Within no time, it built a cult following and the clips of episodes went viral on social media. By early 2025, India's Got Latent had become one of the most talked-about shows.

Also Read: India's Got Latent 2 lands on Netflix; New Samay Raina special announced

But the turning point came during an episode that featured podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia (BeerBiceps). During the show, Allahbadia asked a contestant a sexually explicit "would you rather" question involving parents.

A clip from the episode quickly took over the internet and triggered widespread criticism from audiences, activists, and public figures. As per many, the content crossed the line between edgy humour and offensive vulgarity.

The controversy further led to complaints filed in multiple states against several individuals associated with the episode, including Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, and Apoorva Mukhija.

Also Read: India’s Got Latent on Netflix? Many viewers are surprised by the return of India's Got Latent. The second season has been released on both YouTube and Netflix, marking a major comeback for the show that was once India's biggest digital entertainment controversy. But did the Season 1 backlash actually damage or help Samay Raina? Let's find out. The rise of India's Got Latent and backlash India's Got Latent was launched in 2024, and unlike the regular shows, it was filled with stand-up comedy, roasting, and unconventional acts. Within no time, it built a cult following and the clips of episodes went viral on social media. By early 2025, India's Got Latent had become one of the most talked-about shows. India's Got Latent Season 2: Last season's controversy explained; did it help or harm Samay Raina?

There is a certain uneasiness inside you after you finish watching the Voice of Hind Rajab. The voice of five-year-old Hind Rajab, or Hanood as she was called fondly, continues to echo in your ears hours after the film is over. Directed by Kaouther Ben Henia, the docu-feature blends reality and fiction to deliver a heartwrenching account of a 5-year-old Palestinian girl, Hind Rajab and her urgent pleas on calls to Red Crescent volunteers to rescue her after her family was ambushed by the Israeli forces in January 2024. The Voice Of Hind Rajab is a film that is a testament to the times we live in. And while the semi-fictional semi-real film makes you uncomfortable, angry, emotional and ultimately numb, it is an important watch.

What’s the story of Voice of Hind Rajab?

Five of her family members, including her uncle, aunt and three cousins, were killed as the vehicle in which the family was fleeing Gaza city was shelled. Hind and her 15-year-old cousin Layan survived the first ambush and it was Layan who first made the call to Omar of Red Crescent, pleading for help. The brief call ends abruptly as Layan is shot dead, leaving Omar on the other side of the call, stunned at what he has heard. Minutes later, the Red Crescent gets a tip that there is still a survivor inside the car, hiding from the army, desperately in need of help. Hind, a five-year-old, calls for help, pleading constantly as “I'm so scared, please come. Come take me. Please, will you come?” even as Omar and his supervisor Rana try to soothe her and assure her that help is on the way.

Much like Omar and Rana, you find yourself feeling frustrated at the bureaucratic incompetence as their supervisor Mahdi, insists on following protocols to assure a safe route for the ambulance that is set to rescue Hind.

‘They are all dead’

Some moments are heartbreaking. Henia uses actual audio clippings from the incident and then uses actors to reimagine that day. At one point, Rana tries to soothe the frightened girl that the people next to her in the car, her family members, are all just sleeping because they are tired. Hind cries and blurts out, “They are all dead,” making her rescuers realise that the girl has grown up in a matter of minutes, understanding the gravity of the situation more than anyone could imagine.

Some may find the usage of actual audio clippings to re-tell the incident problematic. Why milk a tragedy as grave as this? But the film is a raw retelling of the war that has ravaged Palestine and left so many innocent people dead. The conflict did not spare the children, which was deeply criticised by the media world over. By using actual audio clips, Henia lays bare the situation for the audience and gives the film more gravitas.

The bureaucratic delay

At the centre of the story are lead actors Saja Kilani as Rana, Motaz Malhees as Omar, and Amer Hlehel as Mahdi, part of the Red Crescent, who are in constant touch with Hind. While Rana and Omar are shown to be deeply involved in getting the little girl out, Mahdi is shown as a man who tries a more practical approach, not wanting to jeopardise the lives of the ambulance drivers who have to get Hind out. While their ambulance is just 8 minutes away from the little girl, Mahdi insists on getting a green channel from the Red Cross and the Israeli army, which had ambushed the car in the first place. The complexity of the situation is grave and with every minute passing, everyone gets more and more anxious of Hind's safety.

Why you should watch The Voice of Hind Rajab

I am mostly conflicted about films that are based on real-life tragedies. While they help to reach out to a wider audience and make them aware of a said incident, it also feels uncomfortable to go witness it on screen. Yet, I would urge readers to step out to watch this film. It will make you tear up, it will make you angry and anxious, but such emotions are needed to understand the unending atrocities that the war has created in Gaza, where human lives have lost their value, schools, hospitals, homes and ambulances are ambushed, and children are killed.

Voice of Hind Rajab serves as a wake-up call to the world and forces you to sit up and take note of countless other children like Hind, who perhaps pleaded for help minutes before they were killed.

The Voice of Hind Rajab has a limited release in India this Friday. Do not miss it.

Based on an actual incident that took place in January 2024, The Voice of Hind Rajab bares open the atrocities that have ravaged Palestine due to the war. The docu-drama uses actual audio recordings of the five year old Hind Rajab, which makes the film all the more authentic and raw.
