FTII students paste ‘gayab’ poster on R Madhavan's office

R Madhavan found himself in controversy after a picture went viral of an FTII student questioning his silence on the NEET protest. Mocking his choice to stay silent on the matter that involves the future of the students, a poster was posted on the actor's office door with a nameplate reading "R. Madhavan, Chairman, FTII." The white paper featured the infamous ‘Gayab’ meme on it. Along with this, they wrote, “NEET for sale.”

Also read: Dhurandhar fame Ayesha Khan detained by police during protest in Mumbai

Taking to Instagram stories, Dulquer wrote, “What’s happening at Jantar Mantar is a reminder to pause, listen, and choose understanding. Education has always been about hope, opportunity, and the promise of a better future. Seeing young people face uncertainty is gut-wrenching. What breaks my heart even more is knowing some students feel they have no way forward, whilst others even choosing to end everything. And parents carrying that pain and debts trying to keep their hopes alive.”

As videos from the protest site continue to go viral, students remain at the protest site with a single demand: the resignation of the Education Minister. Several celebrities have taken part in the protests, including veteran star Shabana Azmi, Dhurandhar actress Ayesha Khan, and others.

The film industry continues to speak in favour of the protestors over the NEET paper leak as they demand the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. For over two weeks, a peaceful protest was underway at Jantar Mantar when environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk sat on a hunger strike. But things took a different turn on March 20, when protestors started marching towards Parliament. The situation escalated when police stopped them and allegedly beat young students with sticks and plastic rods. As videos from the protest site continue to go viral, students remain at the protest site with a single demand: the resignation of the Education Minister. Several celebrities have taken part in the protests, including veteran star Shabana Azmi, Dhurandhar actress Ayesha Khan, and others. Those who have not joined in person have also spoken out, some in support of the education system, while others have shared their political views on the sidelines of the protest. ‘Deeply distressed’: Dulquer Salmaan, Aditi Rao Hydari and Imraan Khan - celebrities rally behind students Since July 20, celebrities across the film industry have expressed anger over the Delhi Police’s action against student protestors and have urged dialogue. The latest to join the chorus are actor Dulquer Salmaan, who called the situation “gut-wrenching,” and actress Aditi Rao Hydari, who urged for “transparent dialogue.” Also read: 'Driven and courageous': Salman Khan backs student protests, urges education system reforms without political interference

The condition can lead to chronic inflammation, scarring and adhesions, which change the normal structure of the pelvis, says Dr Chandrashekar. This can have an impact on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and the movement and fertilisation of eggs. It can also make the uterus less favourable for embryo implantation. In severe cases, endometriosis may progress to a condition known as a "frozen pelvis," where the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, bowel, bladder and other pelvic organs get tightly fused together due to widespread adhesions. This can make natural conception difficult and also make surgery more complex. However, she stresses that not every woman with endometriosis will face infertility. Many are able to conceive naturally, especially when the condition is identified and treated early. If pregnancy does not happen naturally, fertility treatments such as IVF may be considered depending on the woman's age and the severity of the disease. Also Read: Obsessed with true crime dramas? Here's what psychologists say about you Symptoms that should never be ignored According to Dr. Chandrashekar, women should consult a gynaecologist if they experience: Severe menstrual cramps that interfere with daily activities Chronic pelvic pain Pain during or after sexual intercourse Painful bowel movements or urination during menstruation Excessively heavy menstrual bleeding Persistent lower back pain linked to periods Difficulty conceiving after trying for several months Dr. Disha also advises, "Painful periods that keep interrupting your day, you shouldn't have to just handle it quietly. If the pain is intense, getting worse, or paired with heavy bleeding, bowel or bladder discomfort, or trouble conceiving, talk to a gynaecologist. Getting checked early can support faster diagnosis, more effective treatment, and an improved quality of life." Can lifestyle changes help? Dr. Chandrashekar suggests regular physical activity, maintaining a healthy weight, getting adequate sleep and managing stress, which may help reduce inflammation and improve overall well-being. Some women may benefit from a balanced diet high in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, omega-3 fatty acids and foods high in antioxidants while limiting highly processed foods and excessive alcohol. She also notes that pelvic floor physiotherapy, yoga and relaxation techniques may help reduce chronic pelvic pain in some patients. However, these measures should support medical treatment rather than replace professional care.
