The film oscillates between being reflective and thought-provoking to an out-and-out action entertainer, which on many occasions defies logic. One expects high-octane, death-defying stunts in <i>Mission: Impossible</i> films, but director Christopher McQuarrie, who also serves as co-writer and co-producer of the film, tries to jump into the conversation around AI and its misuse in the world.”&nbsp;</p>

King Charles III is to deliver a historic speech to open Canada's parliament on Tuesday, with the nation, of which he is head of state, facing unprecedented threats from US President Donald Trump.

King Charles III is to deliver a historic speech to open Canada's parliament on Tuesday, with the nation, of which he is head of state, facing unprecedented threats from US President Donald Trump. Prime Minister Mark Carney has said he intends to use the king's first visit to the British Commonwealth nation since his coronation to highlight Canada's sovereignty. "This historic honor matches the weight of our times," Carney said. It was at the prime minister's invitation that the 76-year-old monarch, who is battling cancer, traveled to the Canadian capital, accompanied by Queen Camilla. King Charles has never publicly commented on Trump's repeated talk of making Canada the 51st US state, but his speech will be closely watched for any comments on the topic. Trump has also ripped up the world trade order and launched tariff wars against friends and foes alike, particularly targeting his northern neighbor Canada. The so-called "throne speech" will be delivered in the Senate -- a former railway station that has been converted while parliament undergoes major renovations. Although it will be read by the king as if it were in his own words, it was, in fact, written by the prime minister's office and will set out the government's priorities to "build Canada strong" and how it aims to achieve them. Canada's Liberal Party, led by Carney, a technocrat with no prior political experience, won legislative elections on April 28, after a campaign entirely focused on who would be best to deal with Trump. Carney has vowed to oversee the biggest transformation of Canada's economy since the end of the Second World War to enable it to "stand up" to Trump. In cautious diplomatic language, the throne speech should also contain a reaffirmation of Canada's sovereignty, which Trump has repeatedly threatened by suggesting the country should be annexed by the United States. - 'Extraordinary' symbolism - "In terms of symbolism, it's extraordinary because this is only the third time the sovereign has read this speech," said Felix Mathieu, a politics professor at the University of Quebec in Outaouais. The throne speech has only twice before been personally delivered by Canada's monarch, in 1957 and 1977, both by Charles's mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II. "What will also be interesting is everything surrounding the speech from the throne," Mathieu added, about the "message to Donald Trump" to show him that "Canada is not alone in this fight." Thousands flocked to the capital on Monday to greet the king and queen on their first day of the brief visit. For Shrikant Mogulala, 32, the king was here to deliver "a clear message to Trump that we are not for sale." Retiree Dave Shaw, 60, said it was "a great time for (the king) to be here now at this particular time given the geopolitical circumstances, given the circumstances of our country right now." On Monday, the monarchs visited a farmer's market and were treated to Indigenous music and military honors before the king held private audiences with Carney and Indigenous leaders. They were scheduled to ride to the Senate Tuesday morning in a four-wheeled carriage escorted by 28 horses from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police's fabled "Musical Ride" unit. There will be a 21-gun salute and a flypast by fighter jets, and the monarchs will also lay a wreath at a war memorial.

<p>An Australian actress has tragically lost her son, who took his own life because of bullying. Clare McCann does not want to let him go and is now trying to raise $200,000 to preserve his body in a cryogenic chamber. She faces a tight deadline since she needs the money within seven days if she hopes to have her son's body preserved in hopes of reviving him in the future.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>McCann told her fans on Instagram Sunday (May 25) that her 13-year-old son Atreyu took his life last Friday after “months of relentless bullying.” The post also carried a fundraising link to collect money to cryopreserve his body.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The post read that the mother is "urgently raising $200,000 to cryogenically preserve his body within the next 7 days — or the opportunity for him to live again will be lost forever."</p><p>The GoFundMe page has only managed to raise $2,260 so far.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h2><strong>Clare McCann will use the money for “immediate cryopreservation” of her son's body</strong></h2><p>“It’s with shattered hearts that we share the passing of my beautiful son, Atreyu McCann. He was the brightest light in my world — kind, creative, and endlessly loved,” McCann wrote on Instagram.</p><p>She will use the money for "immediate cryopreservation and legal transportation, required medical and legal services for the procedure”. It will also be used to open “a trust in (Atreyu’s) name to protect his legacy." Any extra funds will go towards anti-bullying education and reform.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>She says this is what her son wanted, and she is trying to fulfil his wish. “All I really need to say is how much I really need these funds to give my son what he wanted,” McCann told news.com.au.</p><p>The actress talked about the circumstances that led to the decision to cryopreserve his body.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>She said that about six or seven years back, the two of them talked about death and the afterlife. A man in his 80s became the first to be preserved for future resurrection by Southern Cyronics.</p><h2><strong>Bullying at Sydney school</strong></h2><p>Meanwhile, McCann slammed a Sydney school for failing to protect her child despite being repeatedly told about the bullying problem. “He was just 13. He deserved a future. If the school and government had acted when I asked, he might still be alive,” McCann told news.com.au.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>She also reached out to the Department of Education, and Children’s Services, and told them about the medical information and a confirmed PTSD diagnosis. Australian actress Clare McCann lost her son, who died by suicide, because of bullying. She is now raising money to freeze and preserve his body.

An Australian actress has tragically lost her son, who took his own life because of bullying. Clare McCann does not want to let him go and is now trying to raise $200,000 to preserve his body in a cryogenic chamber. She faces a tight deadline since she needs the money within seven days if she hopes to have her son's body preserved in hopes of reviving him in the future. McCann told her fans on Instagram Sunday (May 25) that her 13-year-old son Atreyu took his life last Friday after “months of relentless bullying.” The post also carried a fundraising link to collect money to cryopreserve his body. The post read that the mother is "urgently raising $200,000 to cryogenically preserve his body within the next 7 days — or the opportunity for him to live again will be lost forever." The GoFundMe page has only managed to raise $2,260 so far. Clare McCann will use the money for “immediate cryopreservation” of her son's body “It’s with shattered hearts that we share the passing of my beautiful son, Atreyu McCann. He was the brightest light in my world — kind, creative, and endlessly loved,” McCann wrote on Instagram. She will use the money for "immediate cryopreservation and legal transportation, required medical and legal services for the procedure”. It will also be used to open “a trust in (Atreyu’s) name to protect his legacy." Any extra funds will go towards anti-bullying education and reform. She says this is what her son wanted, and she is trying to fulfil his wish. “All I really need to say is how much I really need these funds to give my son what he wanted,” McCann told news.com.au. The actress talked about the circumstances that led to the decision to cryopreserve his body. She said that about six or seven years back, the two of them talked about death and the afterlife. McCann told her son about the scientific technology, or cryonic, that lets one save their loved one's body so they could be revived years later when science reaches that point in time. She said that they wanted to do it together, but now that he is gone, "he deserves a second chance to live the life he wanted." “We would talk about maybe we would be revived in a future so far ahead that humans have the ability to swim under water with extended breathing with the dolphins and the whales, or fly, or live on another planet … we would talk and dream about so much.” Australia's first cryogenic facility to preserve the dead opened in Holbrook last year. A man in his 80s became the first to be preserved for future resurrection by Southern Cyronics. Bullying at Sydney school Meanwhile, McCann slammed a Sydney school for failing to protect her child despite being repeatedly told about the bullying problem. “He was just 13. He deserved a future. If the school and government had acted when I asked, he might still be alive,” McCann told news.com.au. She also reached out to the Department of Education, and Children’s Services, and told them about the medical information and a confirmed PTSD diagnosis. No one helped her, she says.
