About Sitaare Zameen Par

The film was one of the most anticipated films of the year, featuring 10 fresh new faces along with Aamir and Genelia. The film is based on a Spanish film called Champions and helmed by RS Prasanna and written by Divy Nidhi Sharma.

The 10 rising stars who have been launched in the film as ‘Sitaares’ are- Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar.

Amitabh Bhattacharya wrote the lyrics, and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy composed the music. Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit produced the film, which was released in theatres on June 20.

Recently, Aamir made it clear that he will not make the film available on OTT platforms just eight weeks after it hits the theatre.

WION's review of Sitaare Zameen Par

In her review, WION’s Shomini Sen hailed Aamir Khan, the producer, more than the actor for casting neurodivergent actors in the film.

“Credit should be given to director RS Prasanna, producer Aamir Khan, and casting director Tess Joseph for picking up a bunch of fun, confident, and talented neurodivergent actors. They breathe life into the slightly preachy and predictable plot with humour and genuine emotions. While Bollywood actors like Priyanka Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan, and Kalki Koechlin have played especially abled characters in the past, no one has brought authenticity to these characters as much as these new actors have. Full marks to the makers, for casting them instead of trying regular, known faces in these roles. Sitaare Zameen Par shines because of this bunch of actors,” wrote Sen in her review.

The stand-up comedian has quietly made a digital comeback and has posted a few new clips on the channel.

See you on the tour.”

All about India's Got Latent controversy

Earlier this year in February, an FIR was filed against Apoorva Mukhija, YouTubers Ashish Chanchlani, Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay, and others associated with the India's Got Latent show. The FIR was based on allegations of promoting obscenity and engaging in sexually explicit discussions during the publicly accessible YouTube show.

Also read: Vijay Deverakonda booked under SC/ST Act over remarks on tribals at Retro pre-release event

The show came under scrutiny after Ranveer made offensive remarks on the show. The video soon went viral on the internet, with social media users slamming him for his remarks.

Also read: Diljit Dosanjh slammed for featuring alongside Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3: ‘Choosing entertainment over empathy’

Following public outrage, multiple police complaints were filed against Allahbadia and other people associated with the show in both Mumbai and Guwahati. The cyber cell and the Mumbai police are conducting separate investigations in connection with Allahbadia's remarks on Reina's YouTube show India's Got Latent. The Maharashtra cyber police had reportedly summoned more than 30 people for questioning after registering an FIR against them. Earlier, Ranveer issued a statement expressing his fear over being subjected to violence as people have barged in his mother's clinic.

Diljit Dosanjh is once again back in the headlines but for all the wrong reasons. The actor and singer who is all geared up for his upcoming film Sardaar Ji 3 is now being slammed left and right for featuring Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. This objection comes after the Pahalgam terror attack this year on April 22, which claimed the lives of 36 Indian tourists and escalated tensions between India and Pakistan. Moreover, Diljit has also revealed that the film won't be able to see the light in India.

Will Sardaar Ji 3 be released in India? Netizens react to Hania Aamir's presence in the film

Diljit Dosanjh took to his official Instagram handle and released the trailer of Sardaar Ji 3.
Soon after the trailer was unveiled, it angered netizens over the featuring of the Pakistani actress. One user named Guptchar wrote, "Shame on Diljit Dosanjh for choosing to launch Sardaar Ji 3 with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir- just days after the brutal killing of Hindus in Kashmir. When India and Pak were at war situation, this Hania Aamir said s***** things about Indian army. But our so-called superstar and singer Diljit forgot the Pahalgam victims, forget about the soldiers who sacrificed their lives while protecting us from Pakistani drones. At a time when emotions are raw and national sentiment is high, this terrorist sympathizer chooses entertainment over empathy. Nation first, not films".

Also Read: Salman Khan opens up about his major health issues and marriage: ‘All of this is going on in my life...’

Diljit Dosanjh's Sardaar Ji won't be released in India. The actor and singer is slammed for working alongside Pakistani actress Hania Aamir amid India-Pakistan tensions.
