Sobhita-Naga engagement: Viral video of Sobhita talking about Samantha and Naga resurfaces

Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala got engaged on August 8, and the internet can't stop talking about the new couple in tinsel town. Naga Chaitanya was earlier married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Now an old video of Sobhita talking about Samantha has resurfaced on the internet.

During a promotional interview for her show "The Night Manager", Sobhita was asked to comment on a few South Indian actors. The list included her now fiancé Naga Chaitanya, Samantha, Prabhas and Rashmika Mandanna, among others. When asked about what she thinks of Samantha, she said, "I think her journey is super cool."

Sobhita praised Samantha for being able to carry a project on her shoulder. "If you see her filmography, the way she can headline a project is really cool," the Made In Heaven actress said.

The interviewer then asked about Naga Chaitanya, to which Sobhita seemed to feign ignorance. "Naga?" she asked. The interviewer then gave out his full name, "Naga Chaitanya". Her reply wasn't as clear, as she said, "He seems like such a cool-headed, calm guy and dignified. I really appreciate it."

Radhika Mandanna and Prabhas were next on the list. Talking about the Pushpa actress, she said, "She can be charming in the most effortless way."

About Prabhas she said, "He's one of my favourite heroes. I loved watching 'Chatrapathi' and so many of his films. He's such a beautiful pleasant man."

Naga and Sobhita's engagement has been splashed across social media. Naga's father Nagarjuna shared their engagement announcement along with pictures on social media. He wrote, "We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 a.m.!!"

Naga and Samantha relationship timeline

Naga met Samantha on the sets of Ye Maaya Chesave in 2010. The movie was a big hit and the couple starred in three more films. The two dated for five years and tied the knot in 2017. Without ever giving a reason publicly, they separated in 2021. However, rumour mills are abuzz about the reason, saying that Naga had an affair with Sobhita, which ultimately ended his and Samantha's marriage.

He was seen with his now fiance at his Hyderabad home in early 2022.In 2023, Sobhita was spotted in the background of a photo of Naga with Michelin Star chef Surender Mohan at his London restaurant. The photo was later removed. Reports suggest that Naga and Sobhita weren't romantically involved up until this time, but the London trip changed things. They took few more vacations together but never really admitted to being together. However, social media pictures were enough to provide eagle-eyed netizens with clues.
