Sean "Diddy" Combs is no longer on suicide watch. He is currently being held in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center. A law enforcement source told a publication that Combs was initially placed on suicide watch as a precautionary measure, not due to an explicit threat of self-harm.
Following his arrest on September 16, it was reported that Combs had been in shock, and officials were unsure of his mental state at the time. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, suicide watch entails frequent observation of inmates deemed at risk, reports People.
Combs is currently focused on preparing his defence. “He is concentrating on his defence and preparing for his trial,” his lawyer told People, adding that the music mogul remains “focused and very strong.”
Combs has pleaded not guilty to all the charges, which include accusations of orchestrating forced and coerced "freak offs," elaborate sex performances involving victims and male sex workers.

Prosecutors allege Combs used his influence and drugs such as cocaine and ketamine to intimidate victims, sometimes capturing these acts on camera without their consent. During raids of his Los Angeles and Miami homes, federal agents reportedly seized AR-15 rifles and large quantities of baby oil and lubricant.
Combs’ legal team has been working to secure his release before trial, proposing a $50 million bail package. However, a judge denied the request, and the decision was upheld on appeal. His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, recently told TMZ that Combs is eager to testify and tell his side of the story in court.
Combs remains in custody, reportedly in the same area of the detention centre as disgraced FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried. The trial is expected to begin in early October.
