The Dark Knight is coming back this August. The new animated series on Batman and his crusades will be back in August as he takes on several anti-heroes.

The first trailer for Batman: Caped Crusader released recently and teased what we can expect from the animated series. The new animated series is executive produced by Batman: The Animated Series co-creator Bruce Timm, as well as J.J. Abrams and The Batman director Matt Reeves.

The first look of the trailer teases a gang war in Gotham City as well as the police’s hunt for Batman. The trailer also gave us a peek into all the villains that Batman will have to deal with, including the Penguin, Catwoman, Harley Quinn and District Attorney-turned-criminal Harvey Dent.

Cast of Batman Caped Crusader

Hamish Linklater has voiced the Caped Crusader/Bruce Wayne. Along with Linklater, the voice cast includes Christina Ricci as Catwoman aka Selina Kyle, Jamie Chung as Harley Quinn and Diedrich Bader as Harvey Dent.

Other notable actors among the voice ensemble include Minnie Driver, McKenna Grace, Eric Morgan Stuart, Michelle C. Bonilla, Krystal Joy Brown, John DiMaggio, Paul Scheer, Reid Scott, Tom Kenny, Jason Watkins, Gary Anthony Williams, Dan Donohue, David Krumholtz, Haley Joel Osment and Toby Stephens.
