
British band Coldplay has giventheir Indian fans a big treat. The rock band enjoys a huge fan following in India. And, the world saw big proof of that after the tickets for their upcoming gigs got sold out in just a few minutes.
An hour after the ticket sale went live, the band announced a third date for its concert that isscheduled to take place in January 2025in Mumbai.
After phenomenal demand, the band has added a third date, i.e. on January 21, 2025.
"Due to phenomenal demand, a third Mumbai date has been added at DY Patil Stadium for 21 January, 2025," the band wrote on X.

The band will now perform on January 18, January 19 andJanuary 21 at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium. The band is currently performing around the world for its Music of the Spheres tour.
Soon after Coldplay announced a date addition, fans rejoiced and were quick to react. However, some fans were stillnot able to secure a ticket due to heavy demand.
Referencing the site crashing of the ticketing site BookMyShow that happened earlier in the day, one disappointed user wrote, ''BookMyShow's queueing algorithm will forever remain a black box. I joined the queue within seconds of this tweet but still had a long queue ahead of me when 2 pm came around.''
Another fan wrote, ''Also for third show, the waiting is crazy!! Even if you launch 5 more, it would be sold out.''
A third user wrote, ''Wow, third date added already?! Looks like Coldplay's 'Music of the Spheres' tour is turning into the 'Music of the Sold-Out Shows' tour! Guess it's time to set up camp on BookMyShow at 2 PM and pray the app doesn’t crash. Let the ticket-hunger games begin!''

On Sunday (Sept 22), the tickets for the rock band show were set to go live at 12:00 pm. However, due to huge excitement, lakhs of fans rushed to the site, which led to the crash of BookMyShow's app and website.
As a result of site crashing, several fans were not able to buy the ticket.
The British rock band previously performed in India in 2016 as a part of the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai.
