In February, Rajpal Yadav was released from jail in Delhi on an interim bail. However, now, the actor has again been sentenced to jail, and this time in the seven cheque bounce cases.
Actor Rajpal Yadav has faced a big setback in the cheque bounce case. On Friday, July 10, Yadav was again been sentenced to three months in jail by the Delhi High Court. In February, he was released from jail on interim bail.
In February, Yadav was all over the headlines due to a legal battle linked to a long-running cheque bounce case due to unpaid dues of nearly ₹9 crore.
Rajpal Yadav sentenced to 3 months' jail in cheque bounce case
Four months after Rajpal was released from jail, the Delhi High Court sentenced the actor to three months’ jail in seven cheque bounce cases against him, as per PTI.
On Friday, the Delhi High Court found Yadav guilty as it upheld the conviction of the actor in 7 cheque bounce cases. Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma ordered Yadav to serve three months of simple imprisonment in each of the seven cases, as per Live Law. All sentences will run concurrently.

The court has directed the actor to pay Rs. 1.05 crore in each case to the complainant. In addition to this, the actor will also pay Rs. 1 crore 4 lakh 75 thousand to the complainant, along with Rs. 25,000 to be paid to the State.
The court has also ordered the actor's wife, Radha Yadav, to pay Rs. 5 lakh 51 thousand 380 to the complainant in each case.
However, the court has also mentioned the amount of Rs 2.25 crore, that the actor has already paid. This amount will be adjusted in the final amount. The court also gave the
ANI quoted Justice Sharma saying, “I am not getting my answers. The undertaking said something else and now you are saying something else.” The Court added, “Never think the judge weak if the judge is nice to you.”
The court also noted that Yadav was given multiple opportunities to pay the amount and settle the matter. The court further observed that Yadav refused to make the payment to the complainant and even said that he was willing to go to jail.
