India is scheduled to travel to South Africa for a full tour immediately after the Sri Lanka series, the tour will start from December 10.
On November 15, Virat Kohli while speaking in Kolkata on the eve of the first test against Sri Lanka said that "he needs a rest, and he'll ask for it when he wants it" on warnings of burnout.
"Definitely I do need a rest, why don't I. When I think of the time my body should be rested I will ask for it, why not. I'm not a robot, you can slice my skin and check if I still bleed." PTI reported Kohli as saying.
Kohli leads India in all three formats of the game and he has been in imperious form with his batting.
