During the programme, Indian captain Rohit cracked a joke that had everyone laughing while he addressed the guests in the central hall where all the members of the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council had gathered. Speaking in Marathi, Rohit stated that had Suryakumar Yadav not clutched onto the catch, he would have made him sit out in the future.
"After Surya caught the ball, he told me that the ball sat in his hand. Thank goodness, it sat in his hand. Otherwise, I would have sat him out," Rohit said while speaking in the central hall of the Maharashtra Assembly on Friday.
