Kolkata Knight Riders pace bowler Harshit Rana has revealed that it was Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan's idea to celebrate with the 'flying kiss' after winning the IPL trophy. The young pacer from Delhi was handed a hefty fine early on in the tournament when he gave a 'flying kiss' send-off to an opposition batter.
In an interview with The Indian Express, Rana said after he was banned for a second offence, Shah Rukh Khan came to him and gave a pep talk, which included the idea of celebrating with the gesture that got him the punishment.
"After I got banned for one match, I was very sad and then Shah Rukh sir came to me and said ‘Tu tension mat le ye waali celebration trophy ke saath karenge (You don't worry, we'll celebrate the IPL with a flying kiss). He promised me and made sure that we did that with the trophy and our team," said Rana.
Why was Rana fined?
Rana was fined60 per cent of his match fees after he celebrated overenthusiastically during his side's close victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Eden Gardens.

Rana was found in breach of the IPL Code of Conduct for his actions. He committedtwo Level 1 offences under Article 2.4. He was fined 10 per cent and 50 per cent of his match fees for the two respective offences.
Rana's action invited criticism from commentators with former opener Sunil Gavaskar saying it was totally unnecessary. Despite the furore, Rana maintains that he will not tone down aggression from his game as it is his character to get under the skin of the batters.
"Not a chance. Next time I will make sure that I will not use it as a send-off.This is my cricket. I have always played my cricket like this.I am a fun-loving guy off the field but on the cricket pitch, I am not there to make friends, I want to win," said Rana.
Rana, who majorly bowled in the back end of the innings picked 19 wickets from just 13 matches for KKR and played a pivotal part in the franchise picking up its third IPL trophy.
After his IPL heroics, fans are hopeful that the pacer will get an India call-up soon.
