BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty were trading on a choppy note early Friday amid uncertainty over US-China trade deal.
The domestic stock market on Friday ended in red with BSE Sensex closing 95.92 points lower at 37,462.99 and NSE Nifty dropping 22.90 points to close at 11,278.90. This marked the eighth consecutive fall for the domestic market session.
BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty were trading on a choppy note early Friday amid uncertainty over US-China trade deal and continued foreign fund outflow.
After opening over 150 points higher, the 30-share index turned cautious and fell 17.32 points, or 0.15 per cent, to 37,541.59. The broader NSE Nifty was trading below the 11,300 level at 11,285.75.
On Thursday, BSE Sensex tumbled 230.22 points to close at 37,558.91 and NSE Nifty dropped 57.65 points to close at 11,301.80.
Earlier on Thursday, Sensex fell over 200 points and Nifty dropped below the 11,300 marks in the early trade.
Meanwhile, the rupee depreciated by 13 paise to 70.07 against the US dollar in early trade today.
