Ola Electric plans major expansion of sales and service network

Ola Electric Mobility announced on Thursday its ambitious plan to enhance its sales and servicing operations by adding 10,000 partners by the end of 2025. As criticism grows about the company's service level post-sale, this effort responds particularly to instances that have brought about customer dissatisfaction.

As part of its strategy to strengthen its network, the scooter maker has already added 625 sales partners. This new partnership will have the duty of retailing and preserving Ola's electric vehicles, along with supporting vehicles from other brands. They will make use of Ola's technicians and support staff to maintain a particular level of service quality.

Ola Electric has been under fire for its operational services, facing reports of considerable backlogs and challenges regarding customer grievances. The circumstances became more serious recently, as a man was taken into custody for allegedly burning an Ola showroom in response to unsatisfactory service experiences.

Its website indicates that Ola is currently operating nearly 800 company-owned stores and 431 service centers by March 31. The goal of the company is to enhance this number to 1,800 sales and service locations, which will involve company-owned and partner sites, before the festive season. The period, rich with major festivals such as Navaratri and Diwali, has traditionally experienced a spike in consumer spending on items such as scooters.

The chairman and managing director of Ola, Bhavish Aggarwal, underlined the critical nature of this expansion initiative. "The company stores will serve as the anchors of our sales and service network, and this program will be important in broadening the EV presence in both urban and rural marketplaces," he pointed out.

Through this strategic action, Ola Electric intends to improve customer satisfaction while simultaneously reinforcing its stance in the fiercely competed electric vehicle market within India. The company's goal is to build a dependable support system that will help enhance growth and better service delivery during the expansion of operations.
