Young Muslim boy invites New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern to join Islam

A video of New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern talking to a young Muslim boy who invited her to join Islam has gone viral.

The boy in the video says ''To be honest with you, what brought me here it’s you. I have been crying every day for the last three days. I have been making one Dua from Allah and I said I wish other leaders can look at your leadership skills. And my other one wish is I hope one day you enter into Islam and I wish I will be with you in Jannah.''

To which Ardern carefully listened to him and replied ''Islam teaches humanity and I think I have it.''

The Muslim in New Zealand call to prayer rang out over Christchurch and around New Zealand on Friday, as thousands gathered to remember the 50 people killed by a lone gunman at two mosques a week ago.

Ardern also visited Christchurch to attend the prayerat Hagley Park in front of the Al Noor mosque, where most of the victims died. She also wore a black headscarf and a black suit.

"New Zealand mourns with you. We are one," Ardern said in a short speech, followed by two minutes of silence.
