US election 2024: On November 5, US election day, the winner between Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris will be declared and the United States will get its 47th president. A presidential victory for Trump will be his second in three attempts, while for Kamala Harris this will be her first shot. Trump had won the 2016 election beating the then Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton to become the 45th president of the country and his wife Melania Trump becoming the first lady of the United States.
Melania Trump, the wife of Donald Trump and the first lady of the United States (2017-221) was born onApril 26, 1970 and was a Slovenian–American fashion model.She was only the second foreign-born first lady, after Louisa Adams and the second Catholic first lady after Jacqueline Kennedy. Melania Trump or Melanija Knavs, her earlier name, grew up in Sevnica, in Slovenia (then part of Yugoslavia). Her father was a businessman who sold cars, while her mother worked in the textile industry.
Melania attended the University of Ljubljana but for a brief period of one year as her passion for modelling drew her away. She began her modelling career in Slovenia first and then moved to Milan, Paris and pursued a career in modelling under the name Melania Knauss.
In 1996 she moved to New York, courtesy her modelling agency Paolo Zampolli that hired her and sponsored her immigration to the United States. During her career, she appeared on the covers of several magazines, including the Sports Illustrated’s popular swimsuit edition in2000.

Melania and Trump met each other for the first time in 1998 in New York City during a fashion industry party. Trump at that time wasmarried to Marla Maples with whom he parted ways in 1999 by divorcing her. On January 22, 2005, Trump Married Melania (His third, Melania's first) at his estate in Palm Beach, Florida. Both have a son together named Barron born on March 20, 2006.
