Vivek Ramaswamy backs Donald Trump in fiery RNC speech, says Republican can 'actually UNITE this country'

Vivek Ramaswamy, the former Republican presidential contender at the Republican National Convention (RNC) on Tuesday (July 16) night, delivered an impassioned speech in support of GOP nominee Donald Trump ahead of the presidential election in November.
Rallying behind Trump
Addressing a crowd of 2,400 delegates and hundreds of Trump supporters, the Ohio-based businessman emphasised the former president's role in uniting the United States through actionable results rather than rhetoric.
The Indian-American politician called on diverse American groups, including black Americans, legal immigrants, and Gen Z, to support conservative values and Trump's vision for America.

"We don't have to be this nation in decline. We can still be a nation in our ascent. That country where no matter who you are or where your parents came from, or what your skin colour is. Or how long your last name is," he said.

Ramaswamy argued that Trump's presidency represents a return to fundamental American ideals. He stressed the importance of addressing the current national identity crisis by standing firm on conservative values.
"We're in the middle of a national identity crisis. Faith, patriotism, hard work, and family have disappeared – replaced by race, gender, sexuality & climate. But we’re not going to win this election by just criticising the other side. We're going to WIN this by standing for our own vision," he said.

"The most important reason to root for Donald J. Trump: he is the President who will actually UNITE this country. Not through empty words, but action. Success is unifying. Excellence is unifying. That’s who we are as Americans," Ramaswamy added.
Elon Musk endorses Ramaswamy's speech
Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who recently endorsed Trump, praised Ramaswamy's fiery speech at the GOP event in Wisconsin.
"Well said," Musk wrote, sharing a video of Ramaswamy's address.
