Washington, US
Donald Trump has been elected the next president of the United States. He is now only the second president in the history of America to win two non-consecutive presidential elections. Trump will move back into the White House in January, with the Inauguration Day scheduled for the 20th of the month.
His next move includes picking people to be a part of his administration. So who all are expected to be a part of it? As per local media reports, these are the names that can find a place.
Elon Musk
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, who became one of Trump's biggest backers on the campaign trail is likely to feature in his Cabinet. He reportedly spent nearly $119 million in the seven battleground states campaigning for him. A new Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, referring to the Dogecoin cryptocurrency, will likely be set up and headed by Musk.
Trump told his supporters in September that the department would be "tasked with conducting a complete financial and performance audit of the entire federal government".
Robert F Kennedy Jr
Robert F Kennedy Jr is also likely to find a place in the Trump Cabinet. He was initially running as an independent presidential candidate but left the race in August. He publicly supported Trump and is likely to be rewarded with a role focussing on health policy.

He dropped a hint on X about a possible announcement on inauguration day where "the Trump White House will advise all US water systems to remove fluoride from public water."
Kennedy Jr is a known vaccine sceptic and has often linked vaccines to autism in children. He also delivered similar messages during the COVID-19 pandemic. Notably, all these claims have been debunked several times by experts.
Donald Trump Jr, Eric and Lara Trump
Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner were part of Trump's administration in 2016. However, Ivanka recently said that she is not interested in returning to the White House. Trump himself also said last year that it was "too painful for the family" to play a role in the administration.

However, his other two sons - Donald Trump Jr and Eric were seen alongside Trump on the campaign trail. Eric's wife, Lara Trump, serves as co-chair of the Republican Party, and so is already quite active in the political scene. The three of them might be given some roles in the new administration.
Mike Pompeo
Mike Pompeo, a former CIA director and secretary of state, is expected to take on a role linked to national security. He can also be named secretary of defence.
Defence roles can also be offered to Florida congressman Mike Waltz and Tom Cotton, a Harvard College and Harvard Law School-educated Army officer-turned-senator from Arkansas.

Others in the running
Richard Grenell, another close aide of Trump, is in the running for a role as national security adviser. He is known to enter private dealings with foreign leaders which has turned him into a controversial figure. To end the Ukraine war, he had suggested setting up an autonomous zone in eastern Ukraine but Kyiv rejected it as unacceptable.
Larry Kudlow was the director of the National Economic Council in the first half of Trump's 2016 administration. He might be named the treasury secretary this time. John Paulson, a billionaire hedge fund manager and donor, is also in the running for the position.
Florida Senator Marco Rubio, who once ran against Trump in the 2016 election, can be named secretary of state. He was also a contender for Trump's running mate this time.
