According to the Global reports 2019 released by Equal Measures 2030, no country in the world is set to achieve gender equality by 2030.
The Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Gender Index which was released on Monday, assess the state of gender equality across 129 countries across the globe.
In 2015, 193 countries committed to achieving SDG by 2030. It includes gender equality, ending poverty, and taking action against the climate crisis.
The report covers 95 per cent of the world's female population.
The index claims that despite an international agreement to achieve gender equality by 2030, and with only 11 years to go, around 2.8 billion girls and women are living in countries that are failing on gender equality.

Equal Measures 2030 is a partnership of civil society and the private sector, including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the International Women's Health Coalition, KPMG, Femnet, Plan International and Women Deliver. It was set up in 2016.
According to the index, countries which have an overall score of 90 or more are making excellent progress, while those scoring less than 59 are in a very poor state on achieving goals.
Melinda Gates, co-founder of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation described the report as a ''wake-up call to the world.''
