Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will be meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky later on Friday (Sept 27). The meeting will take place at the Trump Tower in New York. The meeting comes just hours after US President Joe Biden announced more than $8 billion in new military aid for Ukraine.

The conflict between Israel and Iran-aligned Lebanese militant group Hezbollah is escalating. On Thursday, the Israeli military announced that a precision airstrike in Beirut killed Muhammad Hussein Srour, the Commander of Hezbollah's Aerial Command.

In other news from around the world, Boeing is in the headlines again. The US government's National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has issued “urgent safety recommendations” for some Boeing 737s- warning that critical flight controls could jam.
