Kamala Harris dares Donald Trump to debate: 'Say it to my face!'

Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday (July 30) night issued a direct challenge to former President Donald Trump to debate her before the upcoming November election.
Speaking during a campaign rally in Atlanta, Harris slammed her Republican rival and said, "He won't debate, but he and his running mate sure seem to have a lot to say about me."
"Well, Donald, I do hope you'll reconsider to meet me on the debate stage because, as the saying goes, if you got something to say, say it to my face," she said to thunderous applause.

Once again, pitching herself as the underdog in the race against Trump, Harris suggested that "momentum in this race is shifting and there are signs that Donald Trump is feeling it."

Trump vs Harris debate
Kamala Harris' open challenge to Donald Trump comes as a previously planned debate between Trump and President Joe Biden for September 10 was cancelled after Biden decided to drop out of the race.
Recently, on Monday (July 29), Trump, in an interview with Fox News, shared his mixed feelings about debating Harris and said he wanted to but could also "make a case for not doing it."
Harris, Georgia, and the path to White House
The rally marked Harris' first visit to Georgia since President Biden ended his re-election bid.
Emphasising the US state's significance in her campaign, she talked about thecrucial role Georgia played in the 2020 election.
"I am very clear: The path to the White House runs right through this state," she declared.
"You all helped us win in 2020 and we are going to do it again in 2024."
Harris also listed the key priorities for her potential administration: reintroducing a bipartisan border bill, combating price gouging, and capping unfair rent and prescription drug costs. As per CBS News, Harris' mention of the border bill was aimed at countering Republican criticism and highlighting her commitment to border security.
