Days before the most anticipated and uncertain US elections, Hedge fund billionaire Ken Griffin said that he is hoping former President Donald Trump will win the White House next week.

The Citadel CEO said that this race between Republican presidential candidate Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris has become “almost a coin toss”. The CEO was addressing a panel at the Saudi Arabia Future Investment Summit, as reported by Bloomberg.

Citadel CEO hints Trump more favoured than Harris

The CEO said that he feels Trump is more favoured than Harris and hence, he has a greater chance to clinch victory.

“The expectation today is that Donald Trump will win the White House in just a few days, we’ll know shortly,” said Griffin, adding, “We are at this moment of peak uncertainty.”

Griffin is known to have provided millions to GOP candidates, however, he has not made any direct donations to the campaign of Trump, reported Forbes.

In the polling, Trump and Harris are seen in a neck-to-neck battle on Election Day.

Reportedly, Griffin said during the forum that the presidential race's end will bring clarity to the markets.

“Big picture, the reduction in uncertainty is almost always positive for asset prices,” Griffin said.

“I would say that post-election will generally see a risk on the environment as people come to adopt a new regime whether it’s a Harris regime or a Trump regime. This uncertainty will be behind us," he added. 

The United States is set to hold its presidential elections on November 5 and Republican nominee Donald Trump will battle it out with Democratic nominee Kamala Harris for the power seat.

The voting will be held across the 50 states in the country to choose the party and its candidate who will represent the United States for the next four years.
