Defying conventional beauty standards and promoting the idea of being comfortable in one’s own skin, plus-size model Iska Lawrence shared some photos of herself with cellulite, without any filter or photoshop to spread a body positive message.
Iska took a bold step by sharing intimate photos of herself in bikini, flaunting her thighs which have visible stretch marks.
Her post reads: ''Here I am...in Vegas flexin on the gram with my lil back rolls and thick thighs and cel-u-lit” while posing comfortably for the camera.
She added to the post about how girls around the world are not comfortable posting such pictures without adding filters, just to be called“perfect” by prying eyes. She, however, made sure that none of her photos are “airbrushed” as she wrote “No airbushin no problem”.

Iska is not the first model to have spoken about staying true to oneself and owning up to the body you have. Celebrated plus-size model Ashley Graham who has spoken on numerous occasions about body positivity and adopting the curves also posted a picture recently which was captioned:''No matter what your size/shape/amount of cellulite-we [women] are in this together."
On earlier occasions, pop star Rihanna was body shamed when she appeared in her culturally relevant attire while attending Rio Carnival. Hollywood star Anne Hathaway had to post a video of her in training while shutting trollers even before they comment on her weight. In India, several actors like Ileana D’Cruz was body-shamed recently.
