In the middle of some reports claiming that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is in a coma,his official account on X shared a picture of the leader holding a meeting with Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, in his office.
Multiple media reportsstated that the 85-year-old Khamenei was in a coma and his 55-year-old son Mojtaba Khamenei had been nominated as his successor after a meeting. In October, The New York Times reported that Khamenei was "seriously ill".
In the image shared on X, the leader was seen talking to Iran’s Ambassador Mojtaba Amani.
It should be noted that Amani suffered injuries in Beirut in the pager attacks carried out by Israel in September against the Hezbollah terror group.

“Ayatollah Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Revolution, met and talked with Mr Mojtaba Amani, the veteran ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lebanon, at noon today, on the sidelines of his daily meetings," read the post.
Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, was among the 3,000 people who were injured when the walkie-talkies and pagers blasted in Lebanon in September.
In the attack, at least 39 people were killed and Israel was blamed for the blasts by Iran and Hezbollah. In an official statement, Amani shared his latest health status with Khamenei.
Iran's Supreme Leader delivered his first sermon in five years last month after 180 missiles were launched by Iran targeting crucial infrastructure in Israel.

Delivering his rare sermon on October 5, Khamenei said that Israel "won't last long" as he supported the Palestinian and Lebanese movements against Israel.
Addressing thousands of supporters gathered at a mosque in Tehran, the leader called the missile strikes on Israel "public service".
Iran's leader held a gun in his hand and declared that Israel would fail to prevail against Hezbollah or Hamas.
