Guatemala on alert: Fuego volcano erupts, 659 people evacuated
Guatemala remains on high alert following a violent, continuous eruption of the Volcán de Fuego (Volcano of Fire), one of Central America's most active and dangerous volcanoes. The eruption sent blazing rivers of lava and massive plumes of ash soaring nearly four miles into the sky, turning surrounding clouds an ominous red.
