Putin: European leaders using war rhetoric to save falling ratings

Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused European leaders of using warnings about a possible conflict with Russia to distract from domestic economic and political problems. Putin said Russia has no aggressive intentions toward Europe and remains open to restoring ties, while warning that sending European troops into Ukraine would amount to direct war with Russia.
