Sediment deposited at Crawford Lake in Canada provides unmistakable evidence that Earth has entered into a new human-driven geological chapter - the Anthropocene epoch. Scientists have designated this small body of water near Toronto as ground zero for this epoch. The scientists conducted research and obtained core samples of sediment at a dozen sites worldwide.
