The TikToker didn't reveal which airline she flew.

Passengers on board a New York-bound flight were left soaked, wet and cold as theplane'sair vents blew out a thick mist of liquid. TikToker Savannah Gowarty, who was on the plane, shared a video of the incident, showing the drenched interior of the aircraft.

"What is this?"she says, her hair and face visibly wet."Four hour flight. So cold."

The situation was such that even the pilot had to acknowledge"it appears to be raining in the cabin”from the cockpit.

Incident not so uncommon

However weird it may sound or look, such incidents are not so unusual in flights, especiallywhenthey areoperating in hot weather.

For instance, an EasyJet flight flying from France to London experienced a similar mist incident last July.

But later, a spokesperson for the low-cost British airline informed the press that it was not unusual and was completely safe.

"On board aircraft, it is sometimes possible to see the air conditioning system cooling and condensing the warm air from outside, which is what passengers could see on this flight from Nice to Gatwick,"the spokesperson said at the time.

He added that the fog was simply the result of condensation.

Reactions on social media

Some users criticised the airline for the mist incidentwhereasothers commented it wascompletelynormal.

"It’sjust the condensation from the heat outside and the cold air in the plane!!It’stotally normal especially in the summer or whenit'shot out!," a person wrote in the comment section.

Mostof thepeople said they would have demanded compensation if they were in her shoes.

La Roche Posay, a French skincare brand, took a completely different take on the incident.

"Four hour flight plus free misty refresh for dewy skin,"it wrote.
