You know you have been robbed when things are strewn around in the house. But one intruder has been cleaning up after him after breaking into houses in Washington. Police say a "hungry" thief broke into several houses in Washington, cooked food for himself, and then cleaned up. He does not take anything from the house either.
Eddie Andujo, a resident of the Clearwood Community Association, told the publication KING5, that an intruder broke into his house after shattering the kitchen window. He used several of the items and cooked food for himself. He cleaned the dishes and took a shower. The suspect even folded Andujo's laundry. However, he left without stealing anything and even left a thoughtful note.
Andujo told KING 5, "When I arrived Friday morning, I noticed there was a note on my kitchen table. It says, ‘I needed food, badly. I broke into your house. Please forgive me. I ate your food and washed my clothes and showered."
“He made spaghetti. But the funny part is, he washed his dishes. So he was a nice crook I guess, I don’t know ... and he folded the blankets he used.”
The person also alerted Andujo about his popcorn machine, saying that it “wasn’t working properly”.
The neighbourhood where more such reports have been registered lacks a cell phone service because of the lack of a tower. Police searched for the suspect in the neighbourhood using K9s but could not find the suspect.

Another resident, Bethany Stirber, told KING5, the burglar stole her garage key after breaking into her car. He then tried to enter the garage, but since she was at home at the time, he went away.
“I caught him again on Sunday. I called 911. I could hear them, and they couldn’t hear me. And they didn’t get here in time. He got away," she said.
This is not the first instance of a polite intruder being reported. In 2019, a burglar cleaned a Boston home and made roses of toilet paper.
