With each passing day we are getting closer to WrestleMania 39. The challenger for the WWE Universal title match against Roman Reigns in the main event, Cody Rhodes, recently appeared on the "Out of Character with Ryan Satin" and opened up on Sami Zayn’s increasing popularity among the fans, which led to talks of a potential triple threat match at Mania doing rounds.

As reported earlier, WWE was genuinely concerned with Sami’s popularity among the fans following Elimination Chamber Live Event in Montreal. They feared that to listen to what the WWE Universe wants, they would have to change the original plan for Mania's main event.

However, sharing his thoughts on the rumours of Sami getting added to the title match at the Showcase of Immortals, Cody said he would take anything coming his way as a challenge. While in this case in particular, he would not look at it as something negative.

"I looked at it as a challenge, is probably the best way to look at it, and not a negative challenge. Sami is doing amazing things. You didn't just buy yourself some future spot. One of the worst things we can do as a community is trying to turn the characters against one another,” Cody said.

The 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble winner further said it’s like a good headache to have for the creative. He added that Sami came close as anyone on dethroning Roman at Chamber, that too in his hometown and same goes for Drew McIntyre, who also had his shot at the title at the Clash of the Castle in his home. So now, as Cody got the chance to do the same, he would want to show everyone what he’s worth of and what he can do on a bigger stage.

Meanwhile, Cody and Roman recently cut a promo on SmackDown where Roman kept mentioning what Dusty Rhodes - Cody’s late father, used to feel about his son - firing Cody up, who claims to end The Bloodline story at the Show of Shows in Hollywood.

It's fair to say The Bloodline has hogged most of the limelight since its formation in 2022. The faction of the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Tag Team champions The Usos and the newly-inducted Solo Sikoa has made this a talking point in the pro-wrestling world. The WWE is now believed to be protecting Solo Sikoa's on-screen image as they have huge plans for him going forward.

As per the latest from Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer Radio, Solo, who hasn't suffered a singles loss on live television, is tipped to take on his Tribal Chief Roman Reigns sometime in the future. With a lot already happening within the Bloodline following the departure of the former Honorary Uce, Sami Zayn - the end of this most-talked-about faction in the company's recent history is likely on the cards.

Jey then returned during Roman's title match against Zayn at the latter's hometown in Montreal during the Elimination Chamber. There he refused to obey Roman's orders to hit Sami with the chair and instead left the ring, leaving everyone surprised and confused at the same time.

WWE: Roman Reigns' led-The Bloodline set to fall apart? Latest reports suggest so

All the titles will be on the line at WrestleMania 39 and while fans would expect most of them to change hands, as per the latest report, there are talks of a potential title change in the tag team division at Mania. With the Usos currently holding the Men's Tag team titles, the new pair of Becky Lynch and Lita were recently crowned the Women's tag champions on the last episode of RAW after they beat Damage CTRL's Dakota Kai and IYO SKY.

As the pair of Dakota and Iyo didn't defend their title before last Monday's episode of RAW, going ahead, the company is likely to bring in more contenders for the same. Speaking of the challengers, Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio believe new tag champions will be crowned at the Show of Shows in Hollywood.

Meanwhile, as it got reported earlier that Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler are pushing WWE to bring them into the title picture, both are front leaders to dethrone Becky and Lita for tag championships. WWE: Tag Team titles are set to change hands at WrestleMania 39: Reports

The internet erupted, ticket sales skyrocketed when WWE announced John Cena will return to March 6th episode of Monday Night RAW at Boston, MA. Not only the fans, there’s someone else too who’s waiting for Cena to take the centre stage and address the WWE universe, and that someone is none other than the US Champion Austin Theory.

From last year's Summer Slam, WWE teased a potential feud between Theory and Cena, both of whom are touted to be Vince McMahon’s favourites. Now, since Triple H took over the reins as the creative head, he is believed to be going ahead with this dream match, that too at WrestleMania 39.

Ahead of the next episode of Monday Night RAW, Theory while speaking with Inside The Ropes, said he can’t wait to give veteran John Cena a ‘warm welcome’. Mentioning much like how Cena used to appear on every Monday Night RAW show during his time, Theory is doing that too, and that he wants to show respect to Cena for the same.

“This is going to be a chance to take the United States Championship and showcase it in the match I’m in. Everybody has their thoughts, ‘is it going to be John Cena?’ Me, personally, I don’t think he would face me at WrestleMania. I don’t think he’s going to show up. With his schedule, he’s the past now. It is what it is. I don’t see that happening. If it does, oh, if it does. Anybody else out there, maybe we have somebody we’ve never seen before in the WWE show up. Maybe they want some of Austin Theory and that Hollywood WrestleMania and try to take home the United States Championship,” Theory added.

The WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther is making headlines for all the right reasons. After putting up an incredible show at the first live event of the year in the 2023 Royal Rumble, Gunther carried his Intercontinental run pretty well on the blue brand. As the company is closing on finalising his potential opponent at WrestleMania 39, the Ring General Gunther in an exclusive chat with "Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg," opened up on facing Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar in the future.

To begin with, Gunther talked about his performance at the Rumble that saw him breaking the long-standing record held by Rey Mysterio as he remained inside the ring for one hour and 11 minutes. Opening up on what he thinks about the same, Gunther firstly said it was a great chance for him to show everyone what he can do on a big stage, and that he genuinely didn’t bother to care about the particular record mentioned above as his focus remained on what’s happening inside the ring.

"It was a great opportunity for me to show everybody on that big of a stage what I'm about and what I can do. WWE: Gunther opens up on facing Brock Lesnar, says he wants to prove himself against beast incarnate

Arguably the greatest WWE superstar ever Brock Lesnar could be done with entertaining people inside the wrestling ring for good. Regarded as the most dominant in-ring wrestler this industry has seen, Brock has reportedly informed a few people after the latest episode of Monday Night RAW that he is ‘finishing up’. As most of the WWE fans are aware that Brock’s current contract is set to expire somewhere around mid-April right after WrestleMania 39, speculations have started doing the rounds that he might be done with WWE this time.

As reported earlier, clearly ‘due to Brock’s request’ he denied facing Bray Wyatt at Mania that was originally planned for him; and it’s because of which the finish of his match against Bobby Lashley at the Elimination Chamber was changed to disqualification. In an ideal scenario, Brock was supposed to go over the Almighty at the Chamber but that didn’t happen.

However, the plans changed at the last moment as the Beast Incarnate is now slated to take on the Nigerian giant ‘The Omos’ at WrestleMania 39 in Hollywood.

Meanwhile, PW Insider first reported that the sources close to the information cannot confirm what ‘finishing up’ means as of now, and that it clearly doesn’t indicate if Brock is done with WWE right after the Showcase of Immortals or will he renew his contract after taking a break like old times.

Else, like how all good things come to an end, if Brock decides to say goodbye to pro-wrestling for now, he would be dearly missed as one of the greatest ever to step foot in WWE.

Will Brock Lesnar quit WWE after Mania? Latest reports suggest he told a few people about 'finishing up’

WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will defend his title against the winner of the Men’s Royal Rumble Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 39.
As per Xero News, Seth will be added in a triple threat title picture alongside Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes at the Backlash PPV that will happen in May. The report further suggests that if the creative decides to go ahead with this plan, it would ideally be for the WWE Championship.

Brock Lesnar is set to feature in a non-title match at Wrestlemania 39 and will be up against Omos at the Show of the Shows. Ever since it was announced that the 45-year-old veteran wrestler will be squaring off versus Omos, this update has surprised many. After being challenged by the tall superstar last week, Lesner accepted his challenge, and the duo is set to lock horns soon. However, many expected it to be a battle between Lesner and Bray Wyatt.

Dave Meltzer, of Wrestling Observer Radio, he has reported that Omos wasn't Lesnar's original opponent. As per Meltzer, WWE had planned a face-off between former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt and Lesnar, however, the latter declined it and, hence, Omos came into the picture.

"Brock Lesnar, this was also not the original idea, but it was an idea. One of the ideas was Brock Lesnar vs Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania, and Brock said no to that one, which doesn’t surprise me in the least," Meltzer said.

WWE releases official WrestleMania 39 poster, spill beans on a potential spoiler regarding John Cena

Dutch Mantell, the retired American professional wrestler, opened up on Roman Reigns defeating Sami Zayn at the Elimination Chamber. He feels WWE made the right choice by having Sami Zayn lose in Montreal as WWE has made Roman as their top guy over the last three years and it would not have made much sense for Zayn to emerge on top of him.

Speaking in the latest edition of Sportskeeda's Wrestling Smack Talk, Mantell took a dig at at Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez as the two wrestling analysts felt that Zayn should have gone past Roman in Montreal.

In this regard, Mantell said, "Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez had this big long a** discussion about Sami should've won in Montreal, I don't get it. So I come up with the line, tell me you're a mark without telling me you're a mark. So they're out there saying, 'It would've been a great moment in WWE', granted. They said, 'Oh yeah, but he can beat him down the road but it wouldn't be like Montreal', no it wouldn't it be."

He further opined, "But I think they worked on this, on Roman, for three years, for him to go up against Sami, who is the weakest one of all of them and lose, that wouldn't even fare good for anybody. I don't think it would even help Sami because Sami needs Roman, he needs The Bloodline because that's what got him over. Without them, I don't know where he would be. He would probably still be the third or fourth match but he fit in this perfectly because he wanted to be with them so bad. Finally got it and we knew it would end up this way but the way they went into it, brilliant."

The 73-year-old Mantell mentioned that WWE's decision to put Roman on top was the right call and termed Elimination Chamber as "brilliant".

Mantell added, "So, don't give it away on the first night. The old saying in wrestling is, 'They will come to see the good guy win' but if he [Sami Zayn] had won, he goes up against Roman, they will not come to see the bad guy win. They just won't do that. I mean, later on, the mood could change on it but I think, what they did on Elimination Chamber was brilliant and they know what they're doing and they would have to almost revamp everything and they're not going to do that."

Zayn gave a tough fight to Roman but lost eventually. He received a standing ovation in front of his home crowd. After the match, the 38-year-old reacted saying, "I don't know, man. Now is a weird time to catch me. At the moment, I'm a little numb to strange. And I can't really put my finger on why that is because they [the fans] were definitely rocking and rolling every second of the way. Maybe it's at the very end, I don't know. I could see their faces. And I don't know if that's just me being biased, but I just looked at some faces and it was a different kind of like, 'oh, man' [disappointed].'

Former WWE manager Jim Cornette, on the other hand, also joined the bandwagon and commented on the Roman Reigns vs Sami Zayn clash. On a recent episode of Jim Cornette's Drive Thru, he pointed out the reason behind Roman's win and said, " They either want somebody like Reigns that looks physically impressive and cool, how he dresses, acts, and carries himself. Or they want a guy like Cody with the suit and the tights and the Bloodline of the Rhodes family," Cornette said. "Here's a WWE Superstar Sami Zayn but it's not the WWE Champion. For that, they want somebody that has all of the attributes including appearance."

And I don't know if that's just me being biased, but I just looked at some faces and it was a different kind of like, 'oh, man' [disappointed].' Former WWE manager Jim Cornette, on the other hand, also joined the bandwagon and commented on the Roman Reigns vs Sami Zayn clash.

WWE: Triple H keen on keeping the match card smaller for this year's WrestleMania

The Road to WrestleMania 39 has already begun and reports have started surfacing as to who will face who and when. As per the latest major update on the main event on Saturday, Night 1 at Mania, SmackDown Women’s title match between champion Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley will headline the Show of Shows. Should this go ahead as planned, this would be the second time ‘the Queen’ will be main-eventing at the biggest show in all of sports entertainment. On the other hand, the other match in the women’s division that is penned for now is for the RAW Women’s title between Bianca Belair and Asuka.

At WrestleMania 35, Flair had headlined the main-event where she took on ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey in a triple threat match. Whereas, Blair had also main-evented at WrestleMania two years ago - defeating Sasha Bank for the SmackDown Women’s title.

Meanwhile, as per Dave Meltzer, this match between Flair and Rhea is the favourite with Sami-Kevin vs The Usos, if finalised, would be second in line for the main event on Night 1 at Mania. However, without much doubt, Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes is all set to end the WrestleMania this year in Hollywood.

"Reigns vs. Rhodes is expected to headline the second night. There is no decision on the main event past an internal feeling that Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley right now is the favourite. There is a push feeling for sponsors and political reasons after men main evented both nights last year it would be good for a women’s match to headline and the feeling Flair vs. Ripley is stronger than Bianca Belair vs. Asuka for the spot. If there is Usos vs. Zayn & Kevin Owens, one would think that would be the other favourite," Meltzer said.

WWE: Sami Zayn to team up with Kevin Owens for WrestleMania 39 - Report

WWE’s plans of going ahead with Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes for the main event at WrestleMania 39 could be up for a shake-up. While the creative is trying harder than before to keep the hype for this match going, there is one obstacle that could hamper their plans going forward. Well, that’s one headache they are happy to have and that’s Sami Zayn. Yes, the former member of the Bloodline is one reason there are tensions backstage given the final match card for the main event at the Shows of Show.

It was during the latest episode of Monday Night RAW when Cody was cutting a promo and Roman’s right hand, the wise-man Paul Heyman appeared out of nowhere, the crowd started chanting Sami’s name – making the thinktank backstage go nervous.

To put it out in a nutshell, it’s Cody’s popularity that could lead to a change in the main event of the WrestleMania 39. While some of the ‘top’ people in the company backed Sami to beat Roman at the recently-held Elimination Chamber – the plan was dropped considering such a huge outcome just before Mania would look too odd. Now, as per the latest reports, some people backstage are believed to be thinking about a potential triple threat match between Roman Reigns-Cody Rhodes-Sami Zayn for the title.

However, Dave Meltzer, WWE is concerned about the Men’s Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes’ in-ring push against Roman amidst Sami chants.

"The stuff with Cody and Heyman [on Monday Night RAW] – they [WWE] were very concerned about Sami chants, which is one of the reasons why they got Heyman out there in seconds. They did not want Cody in there by himself because they thought that – it didn't happen – but they did everything in their power to make sure they kept that moving, they did not allow the audience a chance to start chanting or anything like that, it was just back-and-forth," Dave said on Wrestling Observer Radio as quoted by SportsKeeda.

He further added, "It was designed to give the audience no chance to chant because of the feeling that if they did it would hurt Cody's momentum. And perhaps it would, and then it could create that groundswell [for Zayn] which is exactly what they don't want right now."

WWE and returns go hand in hand. Be it for a superstar or a manager, the WWE fans always welcome anyone’s comeback with open arms.
Regardless of whether anyone likes or dislikes Roman Reigns, no one can change the fact that he has held his coveted WWE Universal Heavyweight title for more than 900 days. He surely is one of the top things going around in the company and given his roughed character and physique, he makes up for a great heel. Speaking on Roman’s unparalleled success as the WWE World Champion, current Intercontinental Champion Gunther had some words of encouragement for the Tribal Chief. Following the super success of first the 2023 Royal Rumble and then the Elimination Chamber, Gunther said Roman’s segments have garnered a lot of heat that works in favour of the character he’s portraying.

At the second WWE live event of the year - Elimination Chamber in Montreal, Roman faced the hometown boy Sami Zayn in a one-on-one title match. While everyone in the arena hoped for Roman to be pinned cleanly for the first time in over three years, the creative had different plans going forward as Roman successfully defended his title with some help from another half of the Bloodline – The Usos. Although the result that night broke a thousand hearts, it cemented Roman’s legacy as the greatest modern-day WWE Champion.

Regardless of whether anyone likes or dislikes Roman Reigns, no one can change the fact that he has held his coveted WWE Universal Heavyweight title for more than 900 days.

It's a very enjoyable situation for me, I gotta say, and if I look at Montréal, what a heartbreak at the end. And yeah, I enjoyed it. I just feel like the pressure is on his shoulders by now because all eyes are on him. So, obviously, nobody can take away the records he set and stuff like that. But once he's gonna fall, he's gonna fall hard. And people are waiting for that.
The storyline surrounding the Bloodline and Sami Zayn is the top thing going around in the WWE at the moment. The formation of perhaps the most-talked about faction in this industry’s history had made headlines for all good, bad and ugly reasons. However, since the time Sami betrayed the Bloodline by smashing the chair in the back of the self-acclaimed Head of the Table, Roman Reigns at 2023 Royal Rumble, things took a shaky turn. More so, with Jey Uso leaving the ring hinting at a potential split up with the Bloodline in addition to showing solidarity towards his former faction-mate Sami Zayn, this storyline is keeping the fans across the world on its toes.

Recently, at the second live event of the year – 2023 Elimination Chamber, where Roman and Sami went face-to-face for the title for the first time, Jey entered the scene after the referee was down during the match. It was when Roman asked Jey to smash Sami with the chair shot, the one half of the Usos clearly looked reluctant. Upon disobeying the orders of the Tribal Chief, Roman confronted his real-life cousin brother by pushing his face across twice before Sami mistakenly speared Jey out of nowhere.

For the first time since that incident, Jey Uso shared a story on his Instagram handle with the caption, “ONE MO AGAIN.”

The Bobby Lashley versus Brock Lesner face-off at the Elimination Chamber was a high-voltage affair which saw the former beat Lesner by disqualification on Saturday (February 18). The match ended in utter chaos with Lesner launching a huge attack in the ring after the result. Thus, former WWE referee Jimmy Korderas opined on the heated contest and shared that the finish didn't please him at all.

It is to be noted that the Beast Incarnate and The All Mighty locked horns for the third time in singles action at the event. During the bout, Lashley locked Lesnar in the Hurt Lock after hitting him with a spear. As a result, the Beast could not escape and shockingly resorted to hitting his opponent with a low blow. This led to the referee to end proceedings and award the victory to the former WWE United States Champion. After this, Lesner lost it completely and hit multiple F-5s on Lashley and didn't even spare the helpless WWE official.

WWE: 14-time champion Charlotte Flair wishes to have a feud with THIS superstar in future

WWE superstar Sami Zayn needs no introduction as he has made himself a stalwart in the arena. The wrestler also has millions of fans and the growing list now has another name added - Teddy Long. After Zayn's fight of his life at WWE Elimination Chamber 2023, Teddy Long, in an interview with Sportskeeda, made his desires of managing Zayn public. Long, however, denied that the popular opinion that he wants to manage Zayn as the former Intercontinental champ has made himself very famous in the recent times. Long went to say that he wants to share the wrestling business 'knowledge' with Sami Zayn.

"Because see a lot of people will say, 'Well now you want to get with Sami Zayn because he's on top now and everybody's cheering him. So you want to ride Sami Zayn's back.' But nah, that ain't it. The only reason I'd want to be with Sami Zayn is because I have a lot of knowledge and I want to pass on that knowledge to Sami Zayn. Something that's going to help him get over. He knows how to do that. He's certainly over. There ain't a lot I can do for Sami, I think he's doing it for himself, but Sami Zayn is my pick," said Long.

At the Elimination Chamber fight against WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns, Zayn fell short, although not before making the Montreal crowd believe that he could take down Reigns. It was after multiple knocked-out referees, hijinks of The Bloodline and the usual shenanigans that entire energy was sucked out of the Montreal arena and Roman Reigns came out with the victory.

While fans are now discussing what is next for Zayn, there are reports that he'll face Reigns again, alongside Cody Rhodes, in a Triple Threat match at WrestleMania.

WWE Elimination Chamber lived up to the hype. The second WWE live event of the year was held in Montreal, Canada with the hometown boy Sami Zayn headlining the main event against Tribal Chief Roman Reigns. In what is regarded as the best storyline in company’s history, Roman vs Sami began with a lot of buzz. While Roman was booed throughout on his way to the ring, Sami received the biggest pop of the evening with everyone chanting his name on the top of their voice. More so that even after the bell rung, the match didn’t start for good five minutes as anti-Roman chants were blowing the roof off.

The match began with Roman throwing Sami around and taking some odd punches. Having said that, the crowd was behind the local boy who showed great stomach for fight. Mid-way through the match, Roman was also seen throwing some remarks to Sami’s wife, who was also sitting in the audience.

At the biggest stage of his life, fighting for the Intercontinental title, Madcap Moss came up short against Gunther, aka The Ring General on WWE SmackDown. The night was juxtaposed for typically joyous and high on adrenaline Moss, who surprisingly became the number one contender against Gunther after beating Karrion Moss, Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar in a fatal Four-Way match on February 10th in SmackDown.
The founder and chairman of WWE, Vince McMahon returned to the company in January this year months after announcing his retirement following the investigation into his sexual misconduct at work involving a few female superstars.
