The ticket costs either Rs.5/10/15, so I select the last destination that one can travel to for that particular amount. Thereby, instead of selecting from dozens of locations, I only have to select from 3-4 stations on my screen". Anbazhagan adds that he prefers to do his work while standing, as that makes it easier to carry out the task in a fast and comfortable manner. Operating the ATVM kiosk during morning and evening peak hours, Anbazhagan manages to sell close to 1000 tickets every day, all of it in his inimitable style. A video of him at work having gone viral, has also prompted the Indian Railway authorities to felicitate and appreciate his services. The divisional railway manager of Chennai, identified him and awarded him a certificate of appreciation. You can now write for wionews.com and be a part of the community. YouTube pulls video posted by US Capitol riot probe

Former US president Barack Obama has posted a beautiful video on his Instagram account. The video has been shot in Copenhagen, Denmark, where Obama paid a visit to recently for Copenhagen Democracy Summit. The video was shot just outside the hotel Obama was staying in.

The video featured a group of women, a choir group, singing beautifully in harmony. For the uninitiated, it would be hard to guess the song. But music doesn't have boundaries of language. And though the song is in Danish language, the beauty of the tune and singing of the women is enough for anyone to fall in love with the song.

The impromptu singing caught Obama by surprise. He waited to hear the group's song and reacted encouragingly.

"When I was in Copenhagen, I ran into this group of singers who were rehearsing on their balcony. They were fantastic — take a listen." said Obama on Instagram.

Check out the wonderful video with sound on.

Lionel Messi is undoubtedly one of the greatest footballers of all time. At present, he remains the captain of Argentina as he will once again prepare to lead the national side in the forthcoming 2022 Qatar World Cup, which might be his last appearance in the showpiece event.

In 2021, Messi shifted base after leaving Barcelona and joined Paris Saint Germain (PSG) as the Argentine geared up to compete in Ligue 1, the top division of French football. While his debut season wasn't the best for him, by his own goal-scoring standards, Messi continued to make strides and showed why he is not just a goal-scorer, but a little more than that. The legendary footballer has, time and again, shown the world sport the importance of reading the game and being ahead of it, stressed on presence of mind by his style of play and wily moves on the ground (courtesy of his vision and foresight). Thus, he has created enough moments on the field to make things happen so that his teammates can make the most of it and score by virtue of his assists.

A Twitter user recently shared a video, which has gone viral in no time, that shows Messi's class as a playmaker and emphasised why the legend should be studied in schools for his exemplary football IQ.

In new research, experts at the University of Glasgow and Aalto University in Finland have found that monkeys would like to prefer audio over video. The study was conducted on three white-faced saki monkeys at Korkeasaari zoo in Helsinki. In it, the researchers looked to find out the reaction of these animals to “primate-focused” content in the form of audio and video. In a tunnel in the monkey’s enclosure, the researchers formed three equally sized interactive zones with the help of infrared sensors. On a screen in front of the sakis, they were shown either a video or a sound. It was played for as long as they wanted to watch or listen to it. Their reactions were recorded. These animals seemed to like the audio stimuli twice as much as the visual stimuli.

Later in the study, it was found that the levels of interaction with both stimuli dropped. The interactions with visual stimuli had also jumped in comparison with the audio stimuli.

In audio files, they listened to music more than rain sounds and traffic noise. In video, they liked underwater scenes over the worm videos and abstract shapes and colours.

Dr Ilyena Hirskyj-Douglas of school of computing science of University of Glasgow, said, “Our findings raise a number of questions, which are worthy of further study to help us build effective interactive enrichment systems.”

“Further study could help us determine whether the short interactions were simply part of their typical behaviour, or reflective of their level of interest in the system. Dr Ilyena Hirskyj-Douglas of school of computing science of University of Glasgow, said, “Our findings raise a number of questions, which are worthy of further study to help us build effective interactive enrichment systems.” Watch | Superfetation: Can a woman get pregnant again while already being pregnant? “Further study could help us determine whether the short interactions were simply part of their typical behaviour, or reflective of their level of interest in the system.
You may have seen various photos of Jupiter taken from a distant telescope from Earth. But have you ever seen the mighty planet up close? NASA has released new footage of Jupiter that was taken by the Juno spacecraft that has been hovering over the gas giant since 2016. The US agency has shared an incredible animated sequence created by citizen scientist Andrea Luck using raw JunoCam image data. This clip shows a close shot of the giant planet when the spacecraft flew just 2,050 miles (3,300 kilometres) above the gas giant's cloud tops on April 9.

This was Juno's 41st flyby above the radiation-spewing planet, during which the spacecraft soared at a top speed of 131,000 mph (210,000 km/h) relative to Jupiter, NASA said on May 27.

A mother would do anything to save her child if she even senses it to be in slightest of dangers. The kid falling into a manhole is surely a serious situation for the mom to leap to her baby's rescue. And all of us can rest assured that a mother would NEVER even bat an eyelid before leaping for her child's rescue.

A video showing a courageous British mother saving her son has many remarking on this fact.

Amy Blyth was walking her son, a toddler, through what seemed like a park when he ran a few steps away from his mother probably overjoyed with the greenery around.

The toddler's merriment didn't last long as he ran over a manhole, apparently closed. The lid of the manhole flipped taking Theo (her son) inside the drain.

Without a second's thought, Amy ripped open the lid with all her strength and leaped inside the drain which appears quite deep.

Fortunately, she can be seen emerging with her son.

Amy has described the ordeal on Facebook and Instagram describing the incident as 'scariest, most traumatising'.

"I didn’t know what I was going to expect when I managed to get it off, I seriously thought my baby boy was dead but instead he was standing absolutely screaming my name for help ; this noise is absolute torture and I’ll never forget how it sounded," she adds.

It's a visualisation of a black hole.

“This visualization simulates the appearance of a black hole as seen on its edge, where inbound matter has collected into a thin, hot structure called an accretion disk. The black hole’s extreme gravity alters the paths of light coming from different parts of the disk, making rings of matter visible above and below. At the center lies the black hole's shadow, an area roughly twice the size of the event horizon — its point of no return,” says NASA. The video has been posted on Instagram.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by NASA (@nasa) × NASA further provides information that this visualisation was first published in September 2019. This was the period when scientists were able to take very first photo of a black hole. It is tricky to 'see' a black hole. As light can't escape from it, we cannot 'see' a black hole. Its presence can only be detected with the help of the effects it has on surrounding space. Within just 13 hours of posting this video, it has been seen more than 2 million times. "Me at the zoo": On April 24, 2005, first-ever video uploaded on YouTube

A video shot by Indian filmmaker Vinod Kapri has gone viral online and has garnered millions of views. It is not because of glitzy tricks that nowadays are commonly used to make a video viral. The video is being loved due to the sheer indomitable spirit of a young man who is the sole star shining bright in this clip.

In this video, he is running and running, crossing more distance than most of us can cross in a single sprint. The 19-year-old is Pradeep Mehra who works at a McDonald's in Noida Sector 16 near Indian capital New Delhi.

When Kapri saw this boy running in the dead of the night with a bag on his back, he thought the boy was in trouble and offered to give him lift in a car he was driving.

But the boy refused repeated offers, all the while running a steady clip. The reason? It's in the video below which was shared on Twitter

Residents of Karachi in Pakistan were thrilled to see a meteor lighting up the sky on Saturday (January 29). The falling fireball meteor was recorded by many (who could quickly take sights off the wonderful event and take out their phones). Social media buzzed with photos and videos of the meteoroid falling from the sky.

It has been reported that the falling meteor was visible in the sky around 7:15 pm local time. It was seen not only from Karachi but from some other parts of Sindh province as well. It was seen by many people and local astronomers reportedly confirmed that it was really a space rock burning through Earth's atmosphere.

Such a phenomenon is often called a 'falling star' because it really appears as if a star is falling from the sky. It is also held in many cultures that if you make a wish when you see a falling star, it becomes a reality.

Scientifically speaking, a meteoroid is just a space rock that is drawn to Earth due to gravity. As it falls towards the Earth, it travels through Earth's atmosphere. The immense friction this process causes generates a lot of heat and the meteoroid can be seen glowing as falls. Most meteoroids burn up before reaching the surface of the Earth. But if they are of sufficient size, small parts do fall on Earth. These are then called 'meteorites'.

Watching meteors burning through the sky sure makes for a beautiful sight. But meteoroids of very big size can also collide with Earth to wipe humanity off the only planet it calls home.

The sacking of a school teacher, who was recently divorced by her husband after a video of her belly-dancing with colleagues went viral, has sparked a national debate in largely conservative Egyptian society over women’s rights.

Aya Yousef was fired for “misconduct” and later divorced by her husband after she was filmed by a colleague at a work social event on a Nile boat reportedly without her permission.

The clip showed Yousef dancing with 4 other teachers to the tunes of a popular Egyptian music as others clap in applause for them.

After the video went viral on Twitter, the critics condemned the teachers for dancing in public while others decried what they saw as a violation of the privacy of the five.

A user claimed that she had acted shamefully. “It clearly expresses the poor times we live in!! Anything is permitted”.

“Education has reached a low level in Egypt,” another commented, calling for intervention by the relevant authorities.

Following the outcry, Yousef was fired by the primary school in Dakahlia Governorate in the Nile Delta, where she had worked for several years teaching Arabic.

Speaking to reporters, a distraught Youssef said the video ruined her family life.

“After the spread of the video, everything went upside down and my husband divorced me,” she told Egyptian newspaper Al Masry Al Youm.

“I did nothing wrong. All I did was that I enjoyed myself as everyone else who was in the journey. But people have condemned me as if I had committed a crime when I shared laughter and played with my colleagues,” she added.

Youssef said her three children had accompanied her during the trip organised for families.

“My job as a teacher ends at the school gate. Like all other people, I have the right to live my life, please myself, play and dance.”

Women's rights advocates in Egypt spoke out strongly, insisting the teacher did nothing wrong and saying that she was the victim of a witch hunt.

The head of the Egyptian Centre for Women's Rights, Dr Nihad Abu Qumsan, offered Yousef a job in her office and asked her to bring her contract from the education ministry in order to file a legal complaint against her dismissal, reports BBC.

Anything is permitted”. “Education has reached a low level in Egypt,” another commented, calling for intervention by the relevant authorities. × Following the outcry, Yousef was fired by the primary school in Dakahlia Governorate in the Nile Delta, where she had worked for several years teaching Arabic. Like all other people, I have the right to live my life, please myself, play and dance.” Women's rights advocates in Egypt spoke out strongly, insisting the teacher did nothing wrong and saying that she was the victim of a witch hunt. The head of the Egyptian Centre for Women's Rights, Dr Nihad Abu Qumsan, offered Yousef a job in her office and asked her to bring her contract from the education ministry in order to file a legal complaint against her dismissal, reports BBC. 'Covid party' video row: UK PM Johnson's adviser Allegra Stratton quits

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson seems to be under immense pressure lately. The PM’s name has cropped up in one or the other controversy in recent months.

Now, a video of a staff laughing and joking over a party, which was held during Covid lockdown last Christmas in 2020, has surfaced to haunt the prime minister.

On Wednesday, Johnson was criticised by several people including politicians and media, over flouting of norms by the government when it is forcing others to follow it.

In the video, which has been aired by ITV, the then PM's press secretary Allegra Stratton can be seen at a Downing Street rehearsal for a daily briefing in 2020.

Stratton was laughing and joking over how to explain the gathering at Downing Street during Covid-induced lockdown last Christmas while festivities like these were banned in the country.

Giving a virtual tour to its viewers, NASA shared a stunning video of the Andromeda galaxy. The Andromeda Galaxy is the largest galaxy in the “Local Group”, which happens to be a collection of galaxies that our Milky Way also belongs to. This Hubble view of a portion of Andromeda reveals millions of stars. A rich mix of old red stars and young blue stars can be seen shining in the video. Since being shared, the video has garnered over 100,000 views. "Hey, neighbor!," NASA wrote in the caption.
