India's journey so far...
India started their World Cup campaign on a winning note with a six-wicket win over South Africa in Southampton.
After that, India's opener Shikhar Dhawan scored a century (117) to inspire India towards 36-run win over the defending champions Australia.
However, Dhawan's World Cup campaign ended after Australia clash as a Nathan Coulter-Nile's rising delivery injured Dhawan's left thumb.
The injury turned out to be a fracture eventually ruling him out of the tournament. He was replaced by young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant.
After Australia, India's third match against New Zealand was washed out without toss in Nottingham, both teams shared one point each.
'Men in Blue' then locked horns with Pakistan and extended their unblemished World Cup record against their arch-rivals to 7-0 after securing an 89-run victory via the Duckworth-Lewis method.
Next, in a last over thriller, India registered an 11-run win over Afghanistan in the 28th match of the tournament in Southampton.
In their fifth match against World Cup minnows Afganistan, India got a reality check when a brilliant bowling display, they restricted India to 224 for eight and Mohammad Nabi had almost pulled off a win, taking the contest to the last over.
But Indian pacer Mohammed Shami struck thrice (grabbed a hat-trick) in the final over to inspire India towards victory.
In their sixth encounter, India defeated West Indies by 125 runs to keep their winning momentum going.
With that win over West Indies, India have climbed to No. 2ï¸â£ on the #CWC19 standings.
