Paris Olympics: India's Day 6 schedule, timings, medal games, athletes and all you need to know
The action continues in the ongoing Paris Olympics 2024 edition. So far, India have only two medals, both courtesy of Manu Bhaker (in mixed and women's shooting event). Day 6, i.e. on Thursday (Aug 1), will be one of the busiest days for the Indian contingent in the Paris Games with a chance to also bolster their medal tally. The likes of PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen, HS Prannoy, SwapnilKusale, Nikhat Zareen, Chirag Shetty-Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, etc., will be in action.
In badminton, many superstar shuttlers will feature in the Round of 16 in the singles category whereas Chirag-Satwik will face another challenge in the quarterfinals. Talking about boxer Nikhat, she will face a daunting task being up against Asian Games gold medallist China's Wu Yu in the ring in the women's 50 kg Round of 16 match.
On the other hand, Swapnil Kusale will be featuring in his rifle final whereas Sift Kaur Samra will hunt a spot for the finals in her 50m rifle event. GolfersShubhankar Sharma and Gaganjeet Bhullar will also be in action whereas Harmanpreet Singh-led men's hockey team will be up against Belgium in a crucial Pool B encounter.
