Paris Olympics 2024: All you need to know about India's schedule on Day 1 as Lakshya Sen takes center stage
The 2024 Paris Olympics are all set to take centre stage as 206 nations (including the refugee squad) prepare to stamp their authority on the biggest sporting eventin the world. Friday (Jul26) will see a grand opening ceremony which will kickstart the 33rd Summer Olympic Games in Paris. While alleyes will be on the opening ceremony, Saturday (Jul 27) will officially be the first day of the 2024 Olympic Games with a host of Indian athletes on show including Lakshya Sen, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, Chirag Shetty and the hockey team.
The majority of the Indian big names will be in action in their preliminary rounds on Day 1but eyes will be on shooting where the nation's second-largest squadwill aimfor glory. India has not won an Olympic medal in shooting since 2012 and with a 21-athlete contingent, there is every chance India could end that drought in Paris.
