Bilawal Bhutto-led Pakistan People's Party has nominated former Sindh Assembly deputy speaker Shehla Raza to contest the general election 2018 against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan.
The party on Sunday officially announced the list of their candidates for 160 national and provincial seats of Sindh. Raza will contest the polls on July 25 from Karachi's NA-243 constituency, Geo News reported.
Raza recently made the headlines after a Member of Parliament assembly from Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) raised a shoe at her.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaf chief Imran Khan filed their nomination papers on Friday for the upcoming general elections in the country, scheduled to be held on July 25.
As per reports by ANI, the two leaders went to file their papers themselves. Bilawal is contesting from two assembly seats namely Karachi's Lyari and Larkana while Imran has filed his nomination from NA-243 in Karachi East district.
Meanwhile, Bilawal will fight the election from Larkana and the party's stronghold Lyari.
