
Three militants were killed by security forces near Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam district in an encounter that began on Tuesday evening, ANI has reported.
According to ANI, the three militants,identified as Javed Sheikh, Adil, and Sajjad, were part of Hizbul Mujahideen.
A joint operation was launched by troops of Rashtriya Rifles, Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Radbug village of Budgam at around 6 pm last evening, the ANI report said.
ANI further reported that security forces have also recovered arms and ammunition and war-like stores.
This comes a day after seven Amarnath Yatra pilgrims were killed in a terror attack in Anantnag in Kashmir.
Nineteen other pilgrims were injured in the attack.
