
The Indian Army, in an impressing demonstration of its military prowess, fired aBrahMos missileabove the Andaman And Nicobar Islands, an Indian archipelago in the Bay of Bengal.
Army's Eastern Command shared the images and video of the BrahMos missile piercing through the skies on its social media handle X, formerly known as Twitter.
The army said that the "precision and strength" of the supersonic cruise missileexhibited during this exercise underscored the Indian Army's commitment to "conventional deterrence".
It added that the "Rising Sun BrahMos warriors showcased their capability as a formidable force for peace and security in the Indo-Pacific region."

The BrahMos missile, one of the fastest cruise missiles in the world capable of speeds around Mach 3,soared to great height over the islands.
The calculated strike, as per the Indian Army, hit its mark precisely.

The army said that "this event serves as a poignant reminder of India's steadfast dedication to defending its sovereignty and fostering regional stability."
BrahMos is a versatile missile system and is capable of being launched from various platforms including ships, submarines, aircraft, and land-based mobile launchers.
