As India celebrates its 69th Republic Day, ITBP took to Twitter to share an inspirational video from the mountains of the Himalayas

As India celebrates 69th Republic Day, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) shared a patriotic video on Twitter on January 26.

In the 25-second-long video, Himveers of ITBP can be seen carrying the National Flag in the Himalayas and hoisting it in the freezing mountains braving an unimaginable low temperature.

At a height of 18,000 feet, facing a minimum of minus 30 degrees, the Himveers can be seen in their spirit of Republic Day.

On January 26 in 1950, two years after winning its independence from the British, the Constitution of India came into effect. It declared India as a democracy and replaced the Government of India Act (1935) as the governing document of India.
