The chief of US Air ForceGeneral David L. Goldfein flew the Indigenously built Light Combat Aircraft, Tejas, on Saturday at the IAF station in Jodhpur.
The Indian army tweeted that General David L Goldfein, Chief of Staff of the US Air Force,flew a sortie in 'Made in India' LCA Tejas aircraft at AF Station Jodhpur today during an official visit to India.
Goldfein is the first-ever foreign military chief to fly Tejas.
The US General arrived in India on February 1 on an official visit to boost defence ties between two countries.
A fourth-generation aircraft, Tejas, is a single seat, single jet engine, multirole light fighter.

With a payload capacity of 4000kg, the aircraft can fly at 1350 km per hour, according to reports.
