"Fifty per cent of shops in Old Gurugram were already closed, those open were made to close by us," Ritu Raj, Shiv Sena spokesperson of the Gurgaon wing, said.
"Had given memorandum to Gurugram administration demanding shutting down of illegal meat shops in view of Navratri," he added.
This is not the first time the Shiv Sena has passed a diktat of this nature.
They did exactly the same thing (again in Gurgaon) back in March.
That time, they had also forced a KFC outlet to shut down.
The KFC outlet however had reopened after some time.
The meat shops had not.
