Benchmark indices pared gains to end flat amid choppy trade on Tuesday dragged mainly by IT stocks.
The 30-share BSESensex was down 61.16 points at 33,856.78 while the 50-share NSE Nifty gained 5.50 points at 10,426.90.
About 1,718 shares advancedagainst 958 declining shareson the BSE.

Around 2.45PM, the wider Nifty50 of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) fell by 35.75 points or 0.34 per cent to trade at 10,385.65 points.
The barometer 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) of the BSE, which opened at 33,818.22 points, traded at 33,732.15 points — down 185.79 points or 0.55 per cent from the previous session`s close.
The Sensex has so far touched a high of 34,077.32 points and a low of 33,732.15 points during the intra-day trade.
