The Rajput Karni Sena protesting outside Chittorgarh fort in Rajasthan reportedly fired shots in the air as the "Padmavati" movie controversycontinued to stir in the country.

Reports said security has been beefed up for Padmwati star Deepika Padukone and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Rajput Karni Sena President Lokendra Singh had said his group won't allow the film's release, adding they should not be "provoked".
On Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Home Department had written to the secretary of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry urging it to convey the CBFC of the adverse impact of the protests on peace and harmony in the state.
The UP ministry said in its letter movie's release would not be in the interests of peace and order.
